para nako.. para nako lang.. hehe.. time exist jud... BUT "TIME IS NOT OUR FRIEND"...
why? because we grow old and die?
i thought constant ang speed of light?Originally Posted by cosplay
Not only that, the speed of light is also independent from relative observation, that is, it remains constant even if the source of the light is being carried by supersonic vehicle travelling opposite to the direction of the light beam. A stationary observer on the ground using Newtonian Physics would be wrong to deduce that the speed of light has reduced relative to the ground, considering that train is moving in opposite direction.Originally Posted by Divemaster

Yes.  Light is slowed down in transparent media such as air, water and glass.  The ratio by which it is slowed is called the refractive index of the medium and is always greater than one.*  This was discovered by Jean Foucault in 1850."

""Nothing can travel faster than the speed of light."
"Light always travels at the same speed."
Have you heard these statements before? They are often quoted as results of Einstein's theory of relativity. Unfortunately, these statements are somewhat misleading. Let's add a few words to them to clarify. "Nothing can travel faster than the speed of light in a vacuum." "Light in a vacuum always travels at the same speed."  Those additional three words in a vacuum are very important. A vacuum is a region with no matter in it. So a vacuum would not contain any dust particles (unlike a vacuum cleaner, which is generally full of dust particles). "

we do know what a vacuum means and we are talking here about the "speed of light", not the "speed of light when it passes through a transparent or translucent material medium" or the "speed of light when it passes thru water", any highschool grad with physics 101 knows that. meaning, the speed of light is still constant just like the force of gravity.
let's just stick to einstein's theory of relativity
Absurd. Einstein's is just a theory. We are talking about real proven facts here. What you learn in highschool is more of an overview. I am giving you further specifics to help broaden your knowledge. Google "vacuum".Originally Posted by Divemaster
