AMD ****ing rules men!!!!!!!!! The Hoter ,The Faster !!!!!

yup amd is good for gaming but intel have a slight lead on internet related jobs.
but still the price and performance of amd combined together still beats Intel.
so amd for me.
i have read a long time ago from a review someone from amd when asked why are they numbering their cpu like that and he said that if it says that its athlon xp 1800+ it means that it can be compared to an intel P4 1.8ghz though the athlons speed is only at 1.4 or something like that.Originally Posted by Visual C#
and those 1.8g or 2g are the clock speeds or the cpu. adn someone said that clock speed alone does not directly correspond to performance.
sorry but i cant really offer the best explanation, i have read the explanation about this question a long time ago, when amd first started using their "numbering system" and that i think 2 years ago or so.![]()
your very right bro.... its not clockspeed, its data throughput that makes it faster.
intel can only manage at 5bits per cycle while amd's goes for 9... multiply that with its clock..... now what's the faster speed....
you do the math nalang...
ah ganun pala, so medyo sabot nko gamay sa AMD.
Hertz doesn't count a lot anymore when you can only manage just a few instructions.....![]()
What about Intel's newer 800 MHZ FSB and Hyper Threading processors? Does the AMD Athlon stand up to it?
ڤيكتور البَرت جَبيلاغين
Visual C#: AMD Athlon XP3200+... and Athlon 64...
its not about Gigahertz... its about real world performance...
let's think practical.. not theoretical...
Intel man ang kadaghanan! naa man gud silay komersiyal sa TV! mao nĂ¢!
1st post award goes to SQUIDnine! well said.
