As with my experience, i cant say that true metalheads will never go mellow. True metalheads are also musicians. They play other genres but by heart they will always remain metalheads.

being a true metalhead, it's not just about musick but we're a community and it's our way of life!

Yup, good examples are my cousins.. Mag sige lang lagobo almost every weekend. They even do cover sa opm metal like skychurch. They've been playing metal since like im 9. They've been playing for like 20 years already for fun.. Its not bcoz they shifted or played other musics, doesnt mean they're not true metalheads. They're also musicians and they have reasons of playing other genres.

Way of life? Yes its a way of life. The way they dress up, their mullet hairs, beards, mustache, their rooms - puno ug skulls or satanic posters, mga candles ra pasiga-on, cassette tapes of metal bands like Entombed, Mekong Delta, Slayer, Obituary, Napalm Death as what i can still remember, heck their bulb is red, magazines of metal bands, skull ring, leather pants, leather vest, or chaps.. Name it..

Again, they're musicians..

yep musicians they are and you're correct they have reasons of playing other genres because of the trends that comes and go.. that is why there are many types of musicians depends on it's genre. for me, if you really love true metal music shifting other genres because of the current trends is not my option.
