i got a k custom 18' dark crash....
and an A custom 8' splash cymbal...
A customs sounds brighter

K Custom for Metal? I wouldn't go that far... if you have the money to thrash your K CUSTOMS like metal drummers usually do/play.. then cool. I'd suggest Z customs for metal playing... or thicker A's and K's.

Like I said earlier.. both cymbal series are great. Personal preferrence ra gyud na and make sure the cymbal complements your kit/sound. Ug naa kay drummer nga ganahan ka sa iyang sound, look him up and tan-awa iyang setup at least to give you an idea on what sound he's going for.

I love K customs gyud. For me lang, Im using all k and k custom sa akong cymbals, but i love the A's also. Dependi pud sa sound inpud ug sa genre nga i-record nako
