I guess I'm just lucky for being able to work in a company that does not discriminate, and where career advancement is not a problem. Although I can't elaborate on it publicly, I can say that I'm so lucky to work in a company that values its employees' growth. For that I'm extremely grateful.![]()

Too bad I can't elaborate on it lest I violate any NDAs, but I'll stick to our original off-topic. I'll try to go back to school in a couple of years, but definitely not now. One of the reasons why I stopped is because I didn't learn anything due to my learning style. Schools are supposed to accomodate people whose dominant brain hemisphere is on the right side, but not in my school. You are merely trained to become a good, docile, and obedient employee. I mean, when a teacher asks for a C project with a GUI and other students pass character-based apps, I can't understand why teachers don't appreciate you passing a full-fledge Visual C++ app instead. When you are asked to make a database application yet you passed a full-fledge e-commerce website (which is technically within the requirements), they will simply tell you, "Sorry, you can't pass that kind of project until next sem." WTF? Do that in the real world and you will get a raise.
