basta naa processing, na imu sound mu agi ug muti effect lahi rajud sa analog, mas layu jud labay ang analog bai, kung mag multifx ka, digitech or korg nalang, yaw lang zoom..pero preference issue napud ni, kaw na bahala ana bai, unsa imu feel. kana nalang

uwaw sad ko gamay mu storya da. pero cge lng, i just want to tell u my opinion, since forums are already opinionated from the start so i hope my opinion can help you.

my guitar rig is:

Digitech Hot Head
Digitech Bad Monkey
Zoom GFX-5

i use analog for my distortion but for my modulation effects i use my one and only trusty zoom. i know, i know... most people don't prefer zoom product but for me, zoom does the trick. using it eliminates the need for buying reverb effects, compressor/isolator, equalizer, noise reducer, modulation effects (flange, phaser, octaver and etc..), amp modeler and amp booster.

i cant really say that zoom doesn't have the edge to play good sound coz i have seen a lot of bands play really good just using zoom. i've heard bands play from metal (like post mortem, their guitarist use zoom gfx-8 man cgro, not really sure wat zoom model he uses but he plays it really accurate. mura na jud ko ug naminaw ug cd. hehe) to jazz (mga show band) just using zoom.

and i cant say either that stompboxes isn't good, coz most of my idols use them. just becarefull sa brand sad ky mag libog pud ka sa mga analog sa kadaghan ug brand. hehe. labi na ang brand sa ako analog ky murag nalubong jud sa boss na brand pro sagdi lng, basta maka abot lng jud sa ako type of sound ok na kau.. hehe.

ang kuwang nlang jud ani ang pag timpla ug pag kuha sa type of sound imu gpangita. suggest that u try both cases. if u find the type of sound u really want, then take it. hehe.

tinuod man sad na mostly sa showbands zoom ila gamit...

oo mao sad na jd nga it doesnt matter mn kng unsa imu g gamit basta nka abot sa imung gusto madunggan okay rna...
basta mka abot lng sa imu criteria ug type of sound nga madunggan...
hehehehe bsan gali sa manila.. mkakta ko ug band dd2 nga zoom ang gamit sa ilng gig.../..

@jackyboy: Sakto pd. OK rmn ang Zoom KUNG kamao mutimpla - dili mnjd pinaka-high quality ang Zoom pro ok na xa if your on a tight budget and doesn't have enough money to buy ALL the pedals you want.
As per my previous post, Try and get Zoom Tri-Metal or sumthin (IF just IF ever you can get your hands on one) - pro dili na multi-effects - analogue

naa sad kay point jackyboy. It's all the ears and your hands.But for me,nothing beats the distortion of a good tube amp.HEAVEN.

mao sad lagi. kadaghan nko nka jam sa area 001. i like their mashall amp. limpyo kau. hehe. kung mugamit lng ka ug foot switch mka abot na gud ug disto na pina lamb of god na tono. pero. hehe.

pero ang style man gud namo mga beginner bands na basin kanusa lng mka lugar ug tukar adto jud dayun, nya mostly dili ko mka ila sa style sa mga amps available sa place. so ang ako gbuhat nag save nlang ko ug timpla sa ako zoom arun nig abot sa gig ako nlang iequal ang settings sa low, mid ug high nya off ang tanan gain arun tanan on the spot changes naa ra sa zoom which i am very comfortable with. hehe.

i like tube amp sad bay anarki. my style is basically from blues man gud so mao na nangta jud ko ug tube effects arun i could sound like SRV. hehe. mao na rison y nipalit ko ug tube overdrive (bad monkey) arun mka imitate pud ko ug tube amp diri sa amo blay. hehe.

bay anarki, unsa d i imu distortion effect? asa ka palit?
