    Advising others

Guys, do not assume you know more than the girls or more than someone who appears weaker than you. If you are going to help prevent an injury, go ahead, offer tips on proper technique. But unless you are asked, keep your advice to yourself.

    Competing

When you compete with the person next to you, you look like a fool! It does not make you any stronger, it does not make you look any better and it doesn’t make your workout any more efficient. Do you really think lifting 20 lbs more than the guy next to you matters to anyone?

    A word to the ladies

Women tend to cut each other up more than men. Let’s face it, ladies, if you are staring at another girl and ripping her apart you are more than likely just jealous of the way she looks. So, don’t stare with those evil eyes. Staring is rude and makes people feel uncomfortable. Focus on yourself, looking at her isn’t going to make you feel any better.

And lastly, a tip for the guys from all of us women: Don’t forget to work your legs!

    hehe.. true

Don't be afraid to ask for help. If you are going to do a heavy set, ask for help. There is nothing more embarrassing (for everyone) than for you to get stuck under a weight and yell for help while everyone starts diving under bars and leaping over benches to get to you. Once I saw this out of the corner of my eye and thought someone threw a grenade...only to see 8 people converge on someone who got stuck to lift a barbell off of the now red-faced individual. So take your pick...be "ashamed" to ask for help, or be really "ashamed" that an army of people are flying at you in order to save the day. This happens at least once a week, and the person never needs to be told again after this to not be afraid to ask. So don't be that guy (or girl) who has to learn it the hard way

another thing, Don't leave sweaty clothes in the locker room lockers. Ever wonder why locker rooms can get that "musty" smell? Now you know...

bitaw. but try to not overdo it especially if you are a beginner cos people would definitely notice you and couldn't stop themselves from being amused... patuyang lang og alsa bisan wa pa naanad imo muscles og bug-at.. usually kanang mga ingon anang tawhana di na kabalik inig ka ugma or the next day kay perti nang pama-ol... just follow what the instructor's program gave you cos those were design for your needs/wants.

    be courteous.

if somebody else is still using the equipment and you want to do a set with it, try to ask first the person using it if how many set/s is left for him to do... don't just jump in there and bump him off while he was resting for a few minutes to do the next set.
