I heard this one story before in Camiguin Island (not trying to destroy the island's reputation, but this was circulating years ago)
Four sociology teachers were invited for a conference in Camiguin, were lodging, food and transportation was free, but these teachers were unaware of their impending death. The committee who made the invites were a cult group, preparing for a festival that includes human sacrifice. They were targetting women -- educated women. They drugged them to unconsciousness, and each were killed, organs were gathered and their meat devoured.
This could be a nice documentary to follow, or even a film.
maybe due to too much Zombie-related movies/series plus too much drugs..
Basin tungod lang sa kapas2x sa news mao dali ra ta kabantay, tungod daghan pud interested aning Zombie Apocalypse.
IMHO, these are just independent cases tungod kay dili pareho ang pattern.usually, what we see in a zombie movies kay they'll have behavoiral patterns before turning to zombies, especially, they'll die first before turning into a zombie.

Zombie apocalypse is possible, basin mas deadlier na sa real life compared sa movies/stories.
Just think, if naay "controlled" Zombie Armies ang usa ka country like the US, then epa atake sa Afghanistan, Somalia, and even in Basilan, nice kaayo.

i guess it's kinda inaccurate for the TS to equate zombie with cannibalism. we have to remember that a zombie (originally from Haiti) is an animated corpse brought back to life by mystical means, such as voodoo or witchcraft. American hollywood made it more interesting by portraying zombies as cannibals and no more mystical means but rather caused by a sinister virus outbreak. We can only say that zombie apocalypse might be worth an effort of scrutiny from the scientific community if we suddenly encounter many cases like these:
Felicia Felix-Mentor- was a Haitian woman believed to have been made into a zombie in the early part of the 20th century. Her case was documented by a well known anthropologist and novelist Zora Neale Hurston.

Nice post. The whole zombie thing has evolved into something a world apart from the actual documented cases. One of the more thought-provoking movies based this subject is Wes Craven's The Serpent & The Rainbow. The 1922 film Witchcraft Through The Ages also sheds light on mankind's tendency to use black magic as a way of explaining the unknown.

Bro if we understand vampirism then makasabot jud ta aning mga butanga.
