I would have honked the horn a dozen times before reaching home... same frequency that I tapped on a horn (about 12 times in 6 years) 'coz there's no need to in the US except when you're in Chicago, NY or LA...
i couldn't count the number of times i've honked my horn today on drivers swerving here, there, and everywhere without indicating, sitting on 2 lanes, and public utility vehicles picking up and or dropping off passengers right in the middle of traffic!

driving in australia, i don't think i've honked my horn more than twice!
    WATCH YOUR ATTITUDE!

who are those New Yorker's here? Please add input as well; coz I hate driving in downtown Manhattan. You just love that New Yorker hospitality.

In Japan panagsa ra kaayo ka maka dungog ug horn or else wla jud, they respect the ones walking or riding a bike.
Mag bike ka, magsunod rana sila nimo kay gamay man ang dalan and they wont blow the horn, ikaw nalang ma ikog mag baw ug padaplin para ka overtake siya.hehe

I guess issuing licenses is more about collecting revenue than keeping us safe on the roads.

My pet hates are.... drivers reversing into oncoming traffic because they missed their turning and would rather risk utter carnage than just turn around at the next available opportunity.

    &

.....Tailgating - Cars and bikes following very closely (and at high speed) behind an ambulance. Reckless and immature!

high-beam lights in close proximity with incoming traffic
as for me, it's not just incoming traffic ang problem... those cars at the back, with their high beams on, also distract the drivers... pirmi lang ko ka experience ani, what i usually do is shield my eyes or just move the rear view mirror up.... sometimes if i get really pissed, i drive in between the two lanes and slow down/stop... makalagot jud kaayo sakit sa mata.. especially those cars with hid lights.....
