grabe man sad gud ang privacy in the US.

as a team leader, i always advice my agents if they need to verify sensitive info (like Credit card or social security number), let the customer say it and not you.

example, nag hatag na ang customer ug CC and you want to clarify if u got it correctly....
"Sir/Ma'am, can you please repeat your CC to make sure I was able to obtain the info correctly?"
at least, dli ikaw nisulti.... ang customer. depensahan nato atong kaugalingon, one false move, fired ang show.

its true... even my sister wont give her cc to anyone even to her husband... she's working by the way in IMMIGRATION so she knows such infos... better to save your ass in your work specially as a call center agent kay ur revealing bya something quite confidential to the costumer and if in case the costumer is wise enough, mangamong jud bya na para makakwarta...

lets just hope your cousin tll now dili materminate.. dont worry brod, at least naa xay experienced in call centers.. dili na xa mag lisod.. db? pwera sa amo na wala jud kay wala man nangaply.. ahahhah

just see the positive way around. your cousin too learned something out of such circumstances...

Naa'y legal remedy brad. It depends on whether or not the agent's transgression can qualify as a just cause for termination under Article 282 of the Labor Code. If what the agent said about the trainer's instructions concerning the giving out of that particular information was and may be proven true, then the agent is not wholly liable for the transgression, and it may be a case of unjust termination. You can file a case with the Labor Arbiter concerning this.

When I started this thread, I was really hoping that somebody would come up with an advise like this. This will going to help my friend a lot. Thank you. It might help me too in the future because we are working in the same company. I am just very concern about her because in terms of the labor code and legal matters, we are ignorant. If you may, I would like to know where did you get that information or at least tell me where can I buy a book about our Labor Code.

There is an online codal for the Labor Code, just click on this link LABOR CODE OF THE PHILIPPINES [FULL TEXT] - PHILIPPINE LABOR CIRCULAR ON-LINE, and read Article 282. But it's just a codal, it only states the law, it does not explain anything. To learn further about this law, or to know your options, and if you are really considering filing a legal action against the company, you can seek legal advice from a competent lawyer. He may or may not advise you to file a case against the company. And if he will file a case, there is still no guarantee that you will win.
