The most nutritious protein sources are from beans, lentils, peas, soy foods, fish, shellfish, lean poultry, and very lean cuts of beef or pork. You'll get fiber from the plant protein in the legumes and soy, heart-healthy omega-3 fats from the fish and seafood, and good quality protein from the lean poultry and red meat without much artery-clogging saturated fat. Low-fat and fat-free dairy foods and egg whites are also excellent protein sources.

i just read this from a health mag today....it goes something like, if u can't eat red meet (beef) due to health reasons, the best alternative is egg white.
right now, i'm having tuna, whole eggs, corned beef, peanuts, milk, cottage cheese, soy, gluten and whey (if you can consider that as food).
