LW, salamat kaayo for that information. I used to have a friend (contacts) in Chicago that is/was learning LSAI-LESKAS but she moved to Canada... wala na ko kahibalo ug diin na 'tong bayhana. Anyway, the same sab among feelings sa mga LSAI-LESKAS kay we learned so much from them as well as from us.

Ang Mandirigma Kaliradman sa Davao City, naa bay nagtudlo didto ug Silat? Mostly Penjak Silat? I am kind of interested sa ilang styles bisan lang ug 2 weeks crash course I would go for it. Hinaut ug mahinayun mi ug uli sunod tuig... hinam-hinam na kaayo ko nga maka-uli ming tanan. Nang hangyo ko ni Pauwiks ug pede ba nga mutan-aw sa ilahang istilo. By the way, sige pa ba ug tudlo si Nick Elizar sa UV? I totally out of info na gayud sa ilahang program diha sa University of Cebu.

i thought naka post nako dri wala pa diay. Anyway, I'm with docepares under gm diony not gm cacoy...Mingaw na ko sa gym oi, wa na gyd ko kabalik didto for like, 1 year na siguro pero attend2x gihapon sa mga tournaments. Pathetic kaayo, kalimot na gani ko when ko nisulod didto and kalimot na sad ko sa akong mga nakat-unan. Murag kinahanglan na gyd ko mobalik...I was never allowed to join the sparring competition, form ra gyd nya kausa ra sad ko kaapil kay na busy na man tawn ko sa akong pag skwela karon. Sige gihapon mo ug practice?

Sinyalan: Walay nagatudlo ug silat sa MK - but we have had the opportunity to observe practitioners of different pencak silat styles - bruneian, indonesian and malaysian strains..

sa among nakit-an, ang mga taga-brunei medyo classical ang approach sa combat - kadaghanan sa mga practitioners nila mga professors ang aura - medyo mga tigulang na - of the young masters that i have met - power is obviously present but grace in delivery of techniques is heavily emphasized;

ang mga taga-malaysia naman emphasis is on low, very low stances - murag pouncing tiger/about to fly na eagle ang prevalent forms - maayo sad sa freestyle but controlled sparring - tendency to crouch and roll - murag na-a gyud influence ang environment nila sa ilang fighting style;

ang mga taga-indonesia hilig mulupad-lupad - which sometimes makes their fighting style unpredictable - sa among assessment it's a toss-up between the malaysian and indonesian strains kung ang leaning nimo towards combatives and bruneian kung more on traditional forms (bowing, proper execution, etc.) ang imong ginapangita.

so far wala pa mi'y in-depth exposure sa philippine pencak silat - it is supposedly making good in international showings - it is also one art that i would like to study (in-depth) someday - kung na-ay oras pa

sinyalan:sure you can watch the practice of my students in cebu. just pm scooby (just gor to the previous pages nakapost siya before) about the schedules. if you can visit davao, much better.

Salamat kaayo nga nisugot ka nga mutan-aw ko sa inyong pag-ensayo. I-finalize nako ang among ticket to Pilipinas next month aron makapangandam na mi ug unsay angayang dad-on. Mag-PM lang ko nimo or to Scooby Do(h). Kamusta na diay imong puti nga estudyante?

LW, Naa ku'y nakat-unan nga gamay lang sa Penjak Silat - kay ang akong classmate sa grade school gitudluan siya sa iyahang papa (Indonesian) unya nangita iyang papa ug sparring partner with the same age level. I was glad I lasted 3 years of it. Unya nibalik silang tanan sa Indonesia (security reasons). Sige lang gihapon ko tu-on though masterless but the ideas are still there. Hopefully, we can see each other and we'll exchange ideas. How's that?
