I saw the movie yesterday at Emall, it was very nice, but the love story was bitin...
I agree with markyap, lahi bitaw ang contrast ug brightness, mura'g old film,
then ang focus pa dud dili tarong.
nindot ang movie, i especially liked kevin spacey as lex. di lang gyud ko kasabot ngano ang mga tao dili
maka-distinguish nga clark kent is superman when you take his eyeglasses off...![]()
If I could sum it up in one word, that word would be SOLEMN.
What a quiet and solemn film. It was so full of Judeo-Christian stuff that I felt that I was watching a remake of Passion of the Christ.
Not that I didn't like that approach, though. It worked for me. The whole "Jesus Christ Superman" thing was cool. I mean, it was there from the start, buried underneath the tights, so to speak(hihihi), but Bryan Singer chose to let it out into the open (harharhar).
My favorite scene, I guess, would be the "vigil" scene, when the whole world was waiting and watching and praying for Supes as he laid comatose in the hostpital. Then you see his mother, never more Mama Mary-like, who is forced to just be a helpless witness like everyone else. Shades of the last days of both Pope John Paul II AND Jesus Christ. It made a lot of sense. I suppose this really WOULD be how the world would react if it would lose it's most famous citizen.
What I did miss was the witty banter between Lois and Clark, the Cary Grant/Katharine Hepburn-type chemistry which made Superman 1 and 2 so full of life. in fact, I think they completely overlooked how important the noise and energy of the whole Daily Planet Newsroom. I wanted a screaming, mad, loony newsroom, like the one in the Lois and Clark TV show. It got overlooked in all the solemnity.
Oh well, it'll obviously have a sequel, so I hope more gets done.
tsk tsk..so Lois Lane was the holy grail [MARYMAGDA] and their son got the royal blood..i can't remember Dan Brown made a DC Comic fiction
kidding aside..i like it when superman's son is not vulnerable to kryptonite..now i wonder what Lex Luthor Jr. have in store for this boy =)
It was dragging. Still a likeable film, just dragging.
i was sleepy during the entire film...
nope, not that i didn't liked the film..
count this, it started at 10 pm and ended at 12:30 am or so...
yawn!!!!!!!![]()
