I don't think the RON rating will affect the amount of heat generated by the engine.

It's more of the "I got high octane fuel on my car/bike so I'm going to floor this thing!" mentality which ends up with a hotter than usual engine haha

I also have a digital engine coolant temp reading and no change in engine temps with different fuels if I just follow my normal driving in super traffic Cebu. Also I can't compare when on WOT since engine performance is different as I pull timing when I'm on 91RON fuel. But I'm guessing no difference in engine temps either.

kun mo pili ta'g 100 RON, ok ra man gyud ni pud. dili man ni maka guba sa makina gawas siguro, ang engine kay katong mga kara-an na dili compatible aning new fuel technology...

anyway, if you're ok with the highest octane rating na gamiton nimo sa imohang sakyanan, go for it... para mawala nang imohang mga "what if"... hehehehe...

Hehe dili sad boss. Nangutana lang kay curious

Anyway, my gas is almost empty now, so try na sad nako ang XCS, if same gani ang fuel consumption sa Blaze kay balik ko sa XCS. Hehe

sa auto nko diri... 91 RON ra akoang gi pa tubil... before, 95 RON ang fuel nya kay mao man ang gi gamit sa previous owner (bought the car used... and its an oldy but still crispy... hehehe...)... mga one month ni sya nko after sa akoang pag palit kay 95 RON pug akoang patubil pero, ning balhin ko'g 91 RON... kada pa tubil nko, ang difference nila kay mga 2 liters man. then in a month, 2x or 3x ko mag pa gas. depende sa gamit. there is no observed performance difference sa engine except a lower gas price tag... so, nag 91 RON na ang car diri...

kaning 2 liters na difference kada pa tubil, modagan ni'g 4 to 6 liters sila in one month (as I've mentioned 2x or 3x man ko pa gas every month)... then in a year kay ang difference nila kay mga 48 ~ 72 liters (computed on a linear price difference)... ok na ni na savings ni.

if we'll convert the 1 yr's equivalent on the saved fuel to the distance traveled based on the average gas consumption nako diri... 10 kms/L on a mixed driving (speedway & city)... car is a Ford Tierra/ Mazda Protege 1.6 AT... naa ni sa mga 480 ~ 720 kilometers ang madagan sa saved gasoline...

nabali man nuon... layo pa jd kaayog labaw ang Xtra..

I tried 95RON XCS from 91RON XTRA ADV walay difference. Its a myth raman pud na ang pag tuo nato mo kusog ug dagan atong sakyanan, mahal2x langta. Now balik ko 91RON kay recommended sa akoa kay 90RON lang, so useless if mo buy ko ug mahal usik lang money.
