Got a brand new S5 unit last night from lonitecs. Sealed in box. Opened, tested on the spot and works flawlessly. Even gave copy of receipt. Very trustworthy seller kay mo-text, motawag to confirm transaction. As regards to warranty, this is what I read from another forum site, and i quote: "The only requirement for warranty repair is the NTC seal. with receipt = warranty starts at purchase date. no receipt = warranty starts at batch distribution date. Just to be safe, dalhin mo na lang receipt. Kung minsan kasi, lalo at down ang system nila, di nila kayang ma-verify ang purchase date ng unit nyo."
Am not sure if samsung service center really cares if the unit has been opened-line or not coz last time i went to sm service center, i had my old galaxy unit opened by the samsung tech himself for a fee and still honored my warranty for repairs. Maybe it's better to avail of warranty direct from samsung center than have it coursed thru from telco.
