I've seen the video clips in news reports regarding this fire in Mandaue. As per the news, around 1,000 families were victims of this fire. The president visited the victims and asked the local government as well as the DSWD to act on the matter accordingly. From what I've hear on the news, the local government has already given P6, 000.00 assistance per family while the DSWD is allocating around P5 million for the fire victims.

Considering that this month is called fire prevention month, we should really be careful to prevent those unwanted and unnecessary incidents.

I don't know what station broadcasted the news where they were able to get a footage of where GMA askied the people twice if they have benifited from what she allocated for the poor. The people answered NOooo on both questions then GMA looked at Teddy.

I havent seen this first hand but this is the buzz on the street after her visit yesterday.

i think youve got the wrong info. it didnt happen in Mandaue but in a speaking engagement in Manila before the president went here yesterday.
