Matt Srama - the kid who could ease Ricky's mind
by: Marhie Mcdonald From: The Australian May 05, 2012 12:00AM
“A 21-YEAR-OLD who has played only as many NRL games as his age will be Ricky Stuart's barometer over the next fortnight to help select the best hooker for his NSW Origin side.
Matt Srama tonight goes up against Robbie Farah when the Gold Coast battles Wests Tigers for the annual Larry Corowa Cup. Then, next Friday night, Srama lines up against Michael Ennis when Canterbury comes to Queensland.
But Srama won't be giving either No 9 an arm-chair ride. Compare his statistics with both Farah and Ennis over the past two rounds and the player with Polish/Filipino heritage can certainly hold his own.”
Even Kevin Gordon gets a mention scoring the opening try for the Gold Coast Titans on the W/E!!!

“FULLTIME: WESTS TIGERS 15 (B Ayshford R Farah tries B Marshall 3 goals R Farah field goal) bt GOLD COAST 14 (K Gordon D Mead tries A Sezer 3 goals) in golden-point extra time at Skilled Park. Referee: Gerard Sutton, Alan Shortall. Crowd: 14,254.
The Titans played expansive football at every opportunity in the first half. However, their first try came from a bomb, with winger Kevin Gordon leaping over his opposite Beau Ryan to score in the 13th minute.”
