How long did it take for you to upgrade?

ako after 1yr and 4months ni upgrade ko ug 40d.. giilisan nako akong 450d.. kai nahan man ko murakrak..hehehe

nka upgrade ko ug body after 14 months tungod sa duha ka rason:

1. ganahan pod akong asawa naa siyay camera, so akong gihatag akong 450D niya.
2. naay gibaligya nga 2nd hand nga 60D from a friend nga halos wala niya magamit, unya gi tugot pajd ug 2 gives. so grab dayon sa opportunity. hehe!

my advice is learn as much as you can in photography.. so much to learn.. purag siya ug golf.. it takes a night to learn but forever to master.. invest in workshops and seminars as much as you can.. most cam karon kusog na baya karon even entry level.. generally mo upgrade ka kung ma "kulangan" nah ka.. dili kay uso ni and uso nah.. example kit lens 18-55 nya gusto ka mo shoot ug landscape.. nya ma bitin ka sa wideness niya then upgrade ka... sa body sport shooter ka nya imu unit na burst speed is 3fps and you need a faster cam then you upgrade.. if ma kaya rah sa imu setup karon ang imu shoot then don't upgrade.. i.tiguom nalng nah when the time is really comes..

ugrade gear later. upgrade knowledge first.=p only upgrade when your gear is not suitable for the type of photography you are into. i know alot of prof photographers who use very basic equipment like the good old 18-55 lens- its so versatile for wide to med telephoto and they are still fond of using it with client shoots.=p

so as photogs lets upgrade instead on techniques such as lighting, new concepts, new location for shoots, new designs for fashion, upgrade on skills on how to do make u p para dili nata mangita ug MUA(additional cost man gud)--learning is very essential, theres alot of things we can do with our gear and the less we spend the better for us.=p hehehe

me after 4 months. my hubby bought me a canon 600d as an anniversary gift then 4 months after, i bought a 7d. now I'm totally addicted to photography!

not so good about buying lens yet for i am still learning but when i buy one,i always ask the guy from the shop which one will work best for my 7d and it has to suit my needs as well and the guy has to be a pro of what his doing otherwise I'm not buying!

@foldofus: agree ko sa imong statements bro! upgrade sa skills is also an upgrade for me.. i think bisyo nako ang ganahan mu-learn(charing) daghan kaau ko nakat-onan diri sa istorya. hehehehe. aw oo, upgrade sad diay ko from PS CS3 to CS5 najud! took me more than 2 years to do that dah! hehehehe...

4 months after I bought my Nikon D5000 kit ni buy ko ug AF-S 55-200mm VR then after 9 months I outgrew the D5000 apgradeded to a D7000 nxt uograde is for a lens,whew maka poor doy ni na hobby hehehehe
