I agree! Only those who help the government should have a say in the government. The taxpayer vote is NOT unconstitutional because it still works with the principle that every man has the right to vote. It does not disenfranchise the less privileged because every one still has the right to work hard so he can vote! :mrgreen:

OT: I think a law that will allow only those people paying income tax to vote would be more suitable. This will at least curtail people from selling their votes.
Vote buying is rampant among those without income. Sayon or dali rani sila mapalit. And these are mostly people who are hilig sa mga artista. Bahala na ug walang alam or bogo ang artista basta kay gwapa, gwapo, seksi etc. kuno. Mao bitaw nayabag nani ang Pilipinas.

i think a law that would ban actors/actresses in politics is an innovative move that would filter or strain unqualified candidates.. they would be allowed only to the extent of mayorial post and should not be allowed to run higher post like being REPRESENTATHIEVES, SENATORS, VP AND PRESIDENTIAL. what do you think?

the ironic thing is that most people who whine so much about where their (people's) taxes go don't even pay taxes themselves! take those squatters who'd do anything to be close to that Ninoy Aquino bill for example. i think they do not have the right to question the expenditure of funds that never came from their pockets.
