Wala ko'y gilabanan ha, just want to share my slice of the pie. I think unfair man sa nvidia nga ipares ang ila last gen nga card sa latest gen nga card sa ATI. And considering the huge price difference between the two cards of course kabalo na ta kinsa daug. Yes, there is nothing wrong with appreciating the awesome results, but taman ra sa ta diha. Li sa nato i-close ato mind, at least dapat open ta sa mga posibli nga mahitabo. If nvidia will release their last gen nga flagship next year, I think that's the rightful time to decide who's the victor and mock off the loser.
I have to agree some part of your post, but then again. The average GTX 295 cost around $520 each, $579.99 for the EVGA brand. The average HD 5970 cost around $599 & $620 for XFX brand.
The prices aren't entirely huge at all.
No one is closing their minds, the benchmark is showing to everyone what the "CURRENT" top video cards are, and whats the best to choose for the money, and for the performance. It's also letting people know what they should buy "NOW".
Not everyone can wait 3-4 months for a new video nvidia card. If you can then sure, but not everyone has the same patience. I would rather play on a high end video card by december where most our vacation time is, and not play on an old video card then suffering, and waiting for a "high end" video card that is expected to come between January to April.
Anyhoo, i am waiting for nvidia to release their Fermi, as i am ready to see the results and reviews, and if its good then i will buy it.
Call me an ATI fan or whichever you like, but this is how i stand with NVIDIA VS ATI:
ATI = Cheaper(most of their video cards), Faster, Crappy Drivers
NVIDIA = Expensive(most of their video cards), Fast, Nice Drivers
Too prove that i do use both NVIDIA & ATI Video Cards, then please come to my internet cafe.
I have a total of 35 computers.
18 Computers using NVIDIA Video Cards, ranging models: 8500GT to 9800GT, etc.
I7 Computers using ATI Radeon Video Cards, ranging from: 9550 to 4770's, etc.
If i was such an ATI Fan, i would devote myself to only using ATI Video cards, why bother going with another brand, its just not logical.

if this is the case adto nalang ko sa ATI 2x pa sa perfomance sa mga branded na gtx295 pero dili 2x sa price sulit kaau karon.
grabe ka kusog na videocard oi. but then again, taman lang ko sa maglaway ani. 30k, dili najud nako na afford, unless makadaog ug lotto.
