Comsci.. needs certifications if needed.
technology is evolving, just a certification is enaf...
Though people have different styles and techniques, the basics never change. The exam must be grounded on the basics just like the certification exams. I believe that's what everybody needs, a good foundation on the basics regardless of any field.if, there is or there should be board exam..i agree with yokam.. application dili theory. And if application sad...sa kadaghan cs grads, how long will it takes for someone para mabal an ila result. Unsa sad basis sa ilang pag check nga lahi lahi man ug programming style and skills...
oh well just a thought...
dili jud, dapat certification ra, as what most people say, technology is always changing, what if mag board exam ka karon(let's say C pa ang lang.), nya after pila ka months naa na sad bag.o nga technology (let's say java)? ma baliwala ra to imo exam..
hehehehe... ambot lang kung unsay questions kung naay board exam ang CS, don't tell me half day para C, half day pud para JAVA, den lahi pud sa .net? unsa gikan COBOL hangtud sa pnaka latest nga PL karon, pila kaha na ka days mahuman then? what is sensible is a certification based on your selected expertise...

ma imagine nako ang board exam ani
it should be the same exam as the philnets/jitsi
naay BSCS, then there's a variant pud, BSIT, naay associate in CS nga 2 years....Originally Posted by har86vey
