dating exclusively has 2 sides.

1. you're dating someone who has same views on you but has a different view on what your relationship status is. For you might be dating for a commitment? for him might be dating you to 1A. to let time pass easily 1B. So he can think and recover properly from the past relationship and or would like to have his/her ex get jealous for dating someone new.

2. You're technically 'IN A RELATIONSHIP' status IF A. both you and him/her has the same intentions and views BUT just cannot say or do anything about commitment or probably hates that word. B. Both of you are just too silly enough not to ask about the status of the relationship.
