thanks for the tips tinsy, however, Im not a fresh passer, Ive been working for almost 5 years now. I really regretted not working in an accounting/audit firm since I know that its a good training ground for CPAs, instead Ive worked as an internal auditor of a bank. I am now reviewing (self-review kay wa man koy nahibaw.an na gud review center for the exam in Cebu) for the CIA exam to upgrade my knowledge & credentials as an accountant and hopefully I'll pass. How bout for us CPAs who didnt work for the big 4 firms or even in any accounting firm, any tips on how to work in abroad?

Hello again,as I mentioned in my first post, it helps to have internationally recognized credentials. Getting your CIA is a step in the right direction but I would not stop there, I would recommend taking the CMA exam if getting a management position is in your desired career path. The US Uniform Licensure Exam is also given in Guam so you might want to see (on the internet) how this can be done.
As a CPA and soon to be CIA may also make it easy for you to obtain an immigrant visa in australia. I know of several CPA's who have managed to get it less than a year's time. In the meantime, focus on obtaining the soft skills listed above so that when opportunity finally knocks you will be ready. Goodluck.
