for me, Mac is just an OVERPRICED PC, but it sure looks good.![]()
first of all your analogy just dont have any logic, so i know im dealing with a kid here.
no one said Macs cant get virus, its just you have to be technically adept in osx to be infected which the real irony here.
you should not be running your mouth 'cause people know stuff here. so stop trying to be intelligent son.
oh ...i'm sorry father.
is it bad to ask?..
" cause people know stuff here."
really? this must be the only thread u're reading sir..
haven't u read that some mac user believe their intel MAC are powerful than the C2D powered PC of same price? know thy stuff eh....
"Its just you have to be technically adept in osx to be infected which the real irony here."
that's correct sir. its just a matter of time before the big thing will come upon ur Mac.
" no one said Macs cant get virus"
huh? read the thread from the start sir..and know the myth most mac users believed in.
and
im not trying to be intelligent to you sir..or being a kid ..
im a PC techie..im a Graphics Artist....im a web designer..Im an Aircraft mechanic
i know what i am.. no need to pull chairs..
i am not against Mac either...
i am just clarifying myself between Mac an a PC.
i want an 8 CORE intel XEON powered MAC PRO with 16GB of RAM ...or a humble c2d powered desktop
that can ran the OS X... the only difference basically between ur Mac and our PC.
logic....hmm
i might as well be your dad the way you grasp logic.
now for the deconstruction.
"really? this must be the only thread u're reading sir.."
their are many threads that are good to read and be informed that why my post are few and far between. i only read threads that is useful.
"haven't u read that some mac user believe their intel MAC are powerful than the C2D powered PC of same price? know thy stuff eh...."
its powerful because its running osx the way it should. besides they do business in the high end of the market.
"im a PC techie..im a Graphics Artist....im a web designer"
that's the biggest oxy***** i read in a long time (should take you hours to figure it out).
you exposed yourself as a novice because you keep on bringing up specs and fail to realize what other things those computer components are confined
in (imac). im once again forced to lower my iq to tell you this analogy:
a Mitsubishi evo has been moded to each 400+ hp(some even reach 500hp) and rival the performance of a ferarri/lambo (just consecrate on the performance not the components they used).
it cost them less money to archived it.
but in the end of the day, the Ferrari will still be the more attractive in every way. time and money has been spent to think through ergonomics, style, comfort, proper chassis balance, etc. but people will only see the price difference and open their mouths and say that its the name people pay not the vehicle.
have you ever see the interiors of a mac pro, and the imac, and note how orderly and well designed the layout is? sure people like you can put together a pc but fail to think things like the thermodynamic makeup inside the case. part of your problem is you have not USE a Mac which is stating the obvious.
look up the word "intangible" its in the dictionary. and macs have tons of it.
"huh? read the thread from the start sir..and know the myth most mac users believed in."
im not responsible for what other people say. have you also read the even more ignorant comments made by pc users?
"i want an 8 CORE intel XEON powered MAC PRO with 16GB of RAM ...or a humble c2d powered desktop
that can ran the OS X... the only difference basically between ur Mac and our PC."
see the statements above.
you're using profound words like ironic and logic and you know that its too huge of a word to wrap around you.
hahay, nag-away mo tungod sa mac or pc?
they're all PCs, macs just happen to look good because of how they design the chassis and of CHORS, the operating system sad.
stereotype ra kaayo kung mingon ka nga pcs = windows...palahi lang ang mac para sosyal-sosyal gamay ba. i've worked on a mac before and i must admit it is good but not practical since mahal, mahal mag upgrade (kung naa). performance wise? it all boils down to the user. give an idiot both mac and pc and he'll start complaining they both suck.
i hope this ends here, medyo off topic nata mga brad.
as always, i'm a PC (linux, windows, mac).![]()
There are some viruses or trojans for older OSX like 10.2. But I haven't heard of a virus infecting an OSX 10.4 and 10.5. above.
I was an apple technical support before and never had an issue with virus even a single time.
I encountered OSX 10.3 in which the email was hacked.
And also If your talking about antivirus for mac you can't find any. There is only one and its McAffee antivirus for mac and it is virtually useless. You just need to update your mac OSX to get protection.
Just like windows vista 64 bit which im using. You don't need a security software package.
Currently i'm not using any third party security package software. I'm using windows firewall and avg thats it.
Its well known fact that security softwares package are memory hog so I don't use it.
I don't have any problems with viruses what so ever with windows Vista how much more for MAC OSX 10.5
hahaha. The trojan attacks the OSX remote desktop. When active, AppleScript.THT exploits a recently outlined Apple Remote Desktop Agent vulnerability. The malware runs with a root user and system-wide account with full privileges used by the operating system. It then adds itself to the System Login Items to launch the Trojan every time a Mac is restarted. It also moves itself into the /Library/Caches/ folder. Security researchers warn that the Trojan runs in the background and hides itself from a possible detection by turning off system logging and opening ports in the operating system’s software firewall mechanism.
Before when at work I used to turn this off so no IT department can see me when I do illegal surfing. Then the IT department turns out using brute force personnaly approached me to my station telling me to turn it back on. Heheheh.
Our IT department before turns out to be more like goons rather than computer experts
