Nagpadato lgeh sila, pero a bulk of what I and anybody else who pays them goes into maintaining the said infrastructure that allows you to access the Internet. Wa man kay mahimo ana, they have the infra and can afford it. You don't.

What makes it immoral? Because you are denying what is due to the telco. They provided the infrastructure, you did not.
if buying the modem and simpacks from the telco is denying what is due to them then so be it.

for me the existense of VPN is a blessing in disguise sa mga telcos kay nidaghan man ang nipalit sa ila mga modems ug simpacks. it could be the reason ngano ang mga VPN for a long time hangtud karon buhi gihapon. believe me nga kaya kaayo sa mga telco to block all vpn connections if they want to but the truth be told that they have also been benefiting from it.

dili ni ma-close oi kay landslide ang voting... when it comes to donations, i think way labot na sa discussion & for me when it comes to that wala nay problema kun buhaton in my terms, not a suggested one, furthermore kun motabang man gani, not even my left hand knows what my right hand did good.

wa man jud ni problema unta if done in right way nga di ta makakompromiso pud.

for me istorya.net won't be affected by the VPN services since blocking vpn services can easily be done by the telcos.

signal from telcos is part of the package given after we pay for the modem and simpack. so using the signal is not stealing since it is given. it is just to have internet we use the data from our servers instead of the servers from the telco. buying the modem and simpacks can somehow contribute to the maintenance of the infra.

The purpose of this thread is to listen to your thoughts before I lock all "Free Internet" threads.

Here are the two reasons why I am going to lock the said threads:

1.) You are giving away free internet using intellectual property.
I am not familiar with intellectual property theft definition but it's the closest thing that I can think of.
If not, then kang kinsa man?
Are you paying for it and then distributing it for free? Or plainly stealing it?
If it is indeed stolen from commercial resources, then istorya.net will not tolerate such acts.

2.) This contradicts with some of our Google Ads.
Obviously, part of istorya.net's income comes from the banner advertisements you see all over the forum.
At random times, most particularly on specific sections discussing these "free internet" services, Google Adsense displays banners advertising the services and products of these telecommunications companies which are directly affected by free internet. I guess there's no need to explain further kung ngano ironic kaayo nga nagtolerate mi ug free internet and at the same time the site is partly being supported financially by the said companies.

    I'm with this!

I don't thing telcos are all unaware on this. To think they can monitor and block all access but they don't. Why? Because they can benefit at the same time. If this is illegal, VPN should be stopped eversince this was started para patas tanan, why now? Is it because of the word "free internet?", it's a good thing somebody shared his blessings. If it needs to change the phrase so be it. I understand the discussion but i hope this will end soon.

modem & sim packs are hardwares, dili na maoy main business sa telco. ang ila business is the service that suppose to be paid. kausa ra pud mo buy ug modem kay ipa-open man sad, sim pack nuon mo buy jud kay i-block man ug masakspan,

    this is unfair to telco's.

kung mo-donate ka for something good but with intention for some favor in return, that's basically graft & corruption. naapiktohan ko? of course not in the sense that i paid my dues for what services i used. i gave to caesar what is due to caesar. i have been sharing blessings to others eversince, no need to broadcast... mura unya tag manok nga nangitlog ug usa kabook saba kaau putak mura sad ang iyang itlog murag buwan kadak-a.

Btw, is Boss YJOB asking for donations? ingon ani ba jud ni kapobre ning istorya.net? where's the donate button?

My perspective as a ex-vpn user.

If not, then kang kinsa man?
    - Dili, sa Telcos lagi.

Are you paying for it and then distributing it for free? Or plainly stealing it?
    - Nagbayad ang naghost, naay uban host maghatag libre, naa puy uban magpabayad.

    Stealing?
    - Depende sa panan.aw sa telco. Sila man puy nag-open(unintentional man or dili) ug paagi aron makaingon ani mi.

    Sa ako lang no,

Maikumpara ko lang siguro ni sa ingon-ani:

Ako as a VPN user - Driver
USB Modems w/ Telco Sim - Sakyanan(binaligya sa Telcos; and additional info lang, pwede mi kapalit bisan gkan pa sa OEM magamit gihapon)
    Signal/Inpastraktyur - Road(Telcos ang nagdeploy ug nagmaintain)
VPN Server - Subway parehas SRP aron makaadto mis gusto namo adtoan(websites)

Bitaw oi.
