Like I said previously, maybe you're surrounded by opportunists where you live, but the fellow Filipinos I know are not. It's not about pride, it's about my personal observations. Everyone I know from my barber to my employees to my clients, are all pretty honest and upright. Maybe it's just not the same in your area.

We agree on one thing, we both want the incident thoroughly investigated first. But I definitely disagree with speculating that the victim was "likely" to be an opportunist and out for money (without investigating first), while saying nothing about the Americans because we should "investigate first". Again, why is it ok to speculate that the woman was an opportunist without investigating first? Why is it NOT ok to speculate that the Americans are rapists?
