anyway regarding hoarding, disapointed na kaayu ko ngari sa cebu.... I admit i buy some toys to sell kay tungod sa hobby shop nako, but dili sad ko ungo muhurot ug stocks. but anyway, bati na kayu kay mga bigshots mag atang na nya hurot diritsu ang stocks. Uban pagyud ang pamaagi mura nagyud kawat, shoplift, ilisan ang barcode, sabot saboton ang tindero... badtrip. natagam na sad ko adto sa mga uban shops ngari, stupid na ang prisyu, like the robo vision na tag 5500 mentioned by convoy, inamaw naman na uy. ang uban sad srp 699, human hoard, baligya dayun 1495? ang kapait pagyud ang hilig hoard/tikas/kawat, mga naay kwarta pa gyud....

you know when i started serious collecting, i didnt realize that the hoarders in cebu were actually close friends and relatives of mine. but when they hoard, they only sell it to fellow collectors for like P100-P200 more than the SRP. good enough if you ask me. what is P100 or P200 if you really like the item.

hobbyshaft gets most of his toys from greattoys. his mark-up is at least 15% for hot items and upto 20% for non-local items like chogokin, etc.. i should know, i did his purchasing before, he is also a hasbro dealer from playkit and can get items 30% off.

but he doesnt buy from them.. they hoard items which are supposed to be for retail stores.

but why would they hoard? and get items for a retail price?

the fact is almost no one knows hobbyshaft. and they are actually not making any good sales since they opened. and as long as there are stocks from other stores, no one would buy from them, they are tha last resort.. so to get people to buy from him, he gets all the allocations from toy kingdom. or any stores here in cebu. nice marketing strategy isnt it?? and thatswhy you can never buy items there at SRP.

if you continue to buy from them, the hoarding will never stop.

also i heard na kung retailer ka sa playkit, murag pa-signon ka ug agreement na dili ka kabaligya above srp... nya basin gusto sa hobbyshaft pud na above srp jud ila baligya... maybe lang. ha....

i dont think hobby shaft gets from palykit.... but dili lang ko sure. spoke with the owner of toys@work, tanan distributors sa toys dili mu sugot ipa sell above srp kung retailer ka. disadvantage sa mga dagku shops i guess, but what the hell, hutdon man sad ila stocks so ginansya ra sila

yes hobbyshaft gets from playkit cebu. while tamiya and play2learn gets from playkit manila. same supply ang hobbyshaft and metro colon supposed to be. iyang first batch of orders was the toybiz marvel legends kato series with captain marvel then kato dagko nga spiderman which he got for 500 and sold for 2k. sa playkit warehouse to sa reclamation gikuha.

first stuffs hobbyshaft hoarded were ghost rider items. labad iyang ulo pag human kay the ghost rider fever wasnt so long. and people didnt want to pay for his overpriced ghost riders. i think the 1999pesos ghost rider he sold for P4400

i also know toys@work owner, our parents are good friends.. gaplano to sya open a different concept nga toy store inig abli anang mall sa reclamation. he'll convert toys@work into an educational or kid's toy store nga mo cater og tinuod nga bata. dili pariha nato nga bata ang huna huna hehe.
