    most net cafe use, athlon 2 x2, x3, core 2 duo,pentium dual core, i3, i5 , with videocard not above the realm of 4850, 9600gt, 9800gt, 5770,

wala kaayo net cafe nag gamit og quad cores, core i7. with gtx series gpu. or redeon 4870 up 5870, 6870

Yes, dili sila mo gamit ug quad cores up kay dili feasible para cafe, you will need a branded PSU for it, and the unit itself will be expensive, dugay ma bawi ang ROI. Pero sa generic PSU side man ang gi sturyahan dri, a 24hrs usage, nya middle to heavy games nga duwa (and the gamers can actually change the settings from low, medium to high even with deepfreeze, ang deepfreeze para raman na ma restore ang karaan settings after restart, pero while using it, you can actually change the settings), nya sa akong experience out of the 150+ units nga generic PSU na gamit namo for 3 year, 2 ray na guba, ok ra ang generic PSU basta sakto ug maintenance ug electrical plan (like centralize avr...).

And who would make a quadcore or i7 rig with a generic PSU, it would be suicide, maka invest naman lang gani ug i7, branded PSU na gyud na ang gamiton ana.
hmmm.. dli man jud na possible ang i7 na setup wui for cafe..hehehe
swerti2 ra na bai na maguban ug psu kung ma timingan defective or dli defective mu psu..and sa imu experience na dugay out of 150+ na psu na gamint nmu and 2 ra ang nagub.an yup possible mana but i think for the past 3 years dli lng ka magbasi sa psu kay mukagat na sa imu components and for 3 years naa jud na mga components mamatay..
dli man maguba imu psu but ang uban components nmu ang ma.affected jud ana..but for cafe use generic man jud kasagaran gamiton..ang importanti lng ana kay dapat maintainance jud ka sa imu unit ana...

centralized avr? power-saver man tingali ni imo pasabot... anyways d ra ang primary side going into psu dapat i consider when planning. even and secondary will have anomalities sa voltage whether caused by its load or the psu circuitry instead(sub-par components? fake wattage ratings? ) siguro 2-ra guba psu for the span of operation, but it doesnt mean ang uban nyo problema(voltage fluctuations also causes hdd read/write errors) are not psu-related.

like what i said above. dili na dha dha daun ang effects of using generic. mura nag cancer na maghinay hinay ug kutkut sa imo equiptment until such time na inig grabeh na, nid na ilisan. but then again swerte siguro mo, or is its jst na loyal lang mog generic kai cheap.

branded centralized avr.. those big ones.. not those generic individual small ones, and especially not those fake power savers from hell. Remember the owner is an EE, he knows how electricity works, there is no such thing as a power saver.

Whew! the first time I built my own gaming PC I bought a V8 cooler and a Silverstone 600W coz I thought 550W and below is the highest generic PSU.

Thanks to my misconception my PC is safe. Whew!

    FACT:

I guarantee you that almost everyone using a generic PSU saying wala gyud naguba ilang PSU have already experience the demise or malfunction of their other computer parts. Like their hard drive, video cards, memory, motherboard etc.. Check out your motherboard capacitors if they are slowly bloating up, that means the PSU aint giving it the right juice.

Maunay tawag, killing me softly. The Generic PSU may sustain itself, but it is highly likely providing your computer parts with the wrong juice to power them.

Just like the heart of the human body, if the heart pumps to much, you get high blood pressure which can result to the heart failing, or your internal organs may go first. If low BP sad ka, you also get organ failure as not enough juice is powering them.

The perfect analogy for the function of the PSU.

Now if you hear would go, and you get a chance to get a heart transplant, would you take a generic heart (let's say the heart of a monkey) or a Branded one, the heart of a human body.
    ---------------------

Especially in the Philippines and in CEBU, where the current from VECO isn't stable, daily fluctuations unseen to the naked eye, a BRANDED PSU such as Silverstone PSU's, with ACTIVE PFC can handle such fluctuations. The PSU itself will act as a voltage regulator protecting your PC 24/7. Generic PSU's don't have this function, so when a major surge comes in, it blows the PSU up and often times, some of your computer parts may go along with it.

depende ra man pud siguro sa gamit... sa opisina namo, 6 computers (AMD Sempron, 512MB RAM, on board graphics) gani gamit ra ug generic psu, hapit na abtan ug 4 years, wa man pud mangaguba... pero ang gamit ra pud ani mga PC is office works ra gyud (internet, typing and encoding)... i think it would not be practical to replace these generic one's with true rated psu's kay nakahibalo ko nga mukaon ra siguro ni mga PC namo diri ug less than 200W... pero if pang enthusiast level imo tirada then lahi na na nga istorya, true rated psu's na gyud kay considerable na man imoha investment...

sa balay, generic psu ako gamit (although i own a silverstone 500W supply, nakaistambay pa run ky reserved for my future build)... basic gaming specs ra gud, pinobre, in other words... sigurado sad ko nga gamay ra ang demand sa power ani.. two years na intawn pero pwera buyag, wa pa bisan usa nga piyesa ang nibigay... routine man pud ako maintenance ani, always checking for bloated caps then constant ang ako pag-limpyo ani... so far so good ra man... so sa akoa, depende ra gyud sa gamit... pero honestly, i don't recommend generic PSU's considering na investment man pud gyud ning bisyoha ni... but that's just me...

I believe this all comes down to a lottery situation. But in terms of the winning probability the Branded PSU will usually win because they have more tickets than the generic.
