Hahay.. kapoy decide if daghan kapilian..

A salesman from a local camera shop here told me Canon EF-S Lenses are very expensive and you wont be able to use it ever you want to upgrade to a full frame EOS. Unlike Nikon daw..

What's more important is that you start shooting and learning. There's always a new model coming your way.
So if you're just gonna wait for the next best thing, then you're just gonna keep on waiting.
The safest way to go would be Canon or Nikon as they've already established a presence here in Cebu and
there's a heavily fortified camp on both sides to back you up
So, go with the Canon 350D/400D or Nikon D50/D80. If you plan on doing some heavy shooting then get
a 30D or D200. Heavy shooting?!! Jeeze, I'm been using a 300D heavily for the past 2 years and it's still kicking!
And many professionals can say the same thing of their 70D's.[br]Posted on: September 25, 2006, 12:12:42 AM_________________________________________________Question... why would you upgrade to a full frame in the first place? Some guys who got theOriginally Posted by Ian
5D full frame camera hardly use the full 12 megapixels.
One prominent wedding photographer sets his 6 megapixel camera to 3 when covering events.
The full frame sensors were developed mainly for the seasoned photographers who already
invested a lot in quality glass over the years and lost the "wide" capability of those lenses due
to the crop factor. While new lenses are made to make the most of todays APS sized sensors.
EF-S lenses are expensive? For now... but they'll get cheaper. And using full frame lenses
on APS sized cameras is sometimes better as the image is concentrated on that oh-so-sharp
sweet spot in the center of the lens. Besides, you could go with Sigma or Tamron who
make digital prioirty lenses that are on par with the famed "L" specs.
So actually, there's no need now to go full frame anymore with new developments to make
the most out of today's dSLR's.
For me, the idea of going full frame would be a medium format with a digital back!
go with a product that has a very good local support
Ian's in the US just for information...
Nikon doens't have Full Frame cameras. Canon? only 5D, 1Ds MkII and 1D Mk II N (1.3x crop factor) doesn't support EF-S, if you are planning full frame diretso nalang.. hahahah!!! check prices usa...![]()
oh, about EF-S? if they say its expensive, then DONT BUY EF-S!!! hahaha! EF nalang... hehe..The only EF-S lens im getting is the 10-22mm F3.5-4.5, super wide. coz i have no plans on going full frame in maybe 3-5 years time.. hehe... Good luck napud bai!

Well.. thanks kaayo sa inyong help mga bossing.. I will be getting the Nikon D80 with Quantaray 18-200mm DC 3.5-6.3 Lens.
Quantaray? why quantaray? wala ko kita ug reviews ani... better get Nikon Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 instead... sure ni nga nindot... ayaw na pag tinihik sa lenses.. hehehe... Good luck! and congrats daan!
on thing i that turns me off to nikon d80 is the SD for the mem, much better if they have just stick to CF since its more durable and faster
i would suggest only Canon 400D!!!

Quantaray's are a bit cheaper. 2X Cheaper than the Nikon 18-200mm VR. Or I might get the Tamron instead. Quantaray's are rebranded Tamron's for Ritz Camera. More of the lower end. And since, am still a starter.. I need a lens that will give me more space to practice some wide angles, some telephoto and some portraits without the extra cost yet.
