Building a gaming rig from scratch, any suggestions?

i dont have reference for price, but for hardware selection, right now the best to get is sandy bridge i5 or i7(stay away from i3) for cpu performance and low power consumption @ given price.

pair it with a decent videocard @ your choice(who knows basin nahan pud ka mag 12-monitors in the future...)

the rest sa parts are jst basic...so adjust nalang...

as what I've said bro,depende na sa taste sa tao. naai mga di mauyon sa intel,naa pd di mauyon sa AMD.

im currently liking the VC, PSU, monitor as posted above, what im wondering is what could be my procesor,mobo and ram options.. kay i think i-3 is a little bitin, haha wat u think bro?

decided my monitor.. samsung 18.5" ex1920x LEd = 5950.. haha mao pjd tawn ang na decide..hahaha saonz..

if kani nga monitor imo bro, pwede ra kaayu ang 512mb nga vc.. but since your planning to get a GTX460 1GB DDR5, mas maayu untag dako2x like 20" pataas aron masulit nimo pag-ayu imo vc..

Yep, avoid i3. Go to Tom's hardware to compare which processor is the fastest for your budget, pay no attention to brand, Intel or AMD are both good, what you want is the best in your price range. Choose mobo that's DDR3 ram triple channel compatible with crossfire/sli slots that stay at 16x even in crossfire mode. PSU is very important, suggested brands Antec, Silverstone, CoolerMaster. Of course you have to think about your OS, if this is a gaming rig, you have to get at the very least Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

LOL! Congrats on your decision to build your own. It's a hobby I really enjoy, I know you'll enjoy it too. Look at the gaming rigs na gi post sa uban in the "Show Your Rigs" threads. What you can do with moolah I do not have.

pag Core i5 760 na bro unya kanang mobo gi suggest sa taas (Asus P7P55D)... sa RAM, naa bay mapalitan og G Skill Ripjaws diha sa cebu? kung naa, go for that... kung wah, Kingston value RAM will do basta 4gig na ka diretso...

i5 man unta ako recommend ibutang pero mashort man sa budget gamay.mao i3 ako nabutang and not knowing nga bati diay ang i3.my bad. +3k ka TS para sa i5

mobo: di paku sure, ang "Asus P7P55D 2133" kay mu fit sa description nga "mobo that's DDR3 ram triple channel compatible with crossfire/sli slots that stay at 16x even in crossfire mode."(unsa gni purpose ana mga bro y nindot na nga specs? hehe)
VC: GTX 460 - 8700 PCX
RAM: PQI 4GB 1333 ddr3 - 1950 PCX (ma doble ni mga bro? para 8GB? or pde rna unya nalang ko palit sa 2nd, nya kaya ra niya solo flight for now?)

storage: 500gb seagate sata - 2000 PCX
monitor: Samsung EX1920X 18.5" Wide LED 6000 PCQB
os: windows home premium 4250 PCQB

current total: 35,550, wa pa apil AVR, MOBO, keyboard mouse, casing(nig ko suggestions ani hehe); pde ra ma stretch gamay ang budget, tigum2x gamay..

and bout sa gaisano interface mga bro, aha diay na located, wa q cebu karun mao di ko k.canvass personally, jus tthe sites..
