hi! I've been using my camera for almost a year but I encountered this problem just now... saying that it's error 99: turn off and then on/ reinstall battery... I did what was said for me to do but still experiencing the same problem...

i would suggest to bring that to a service center na lang bro kay mas kama-o man sila... that's what i did when i experience an "error 01" before...

Bro canon imong cam?
I have the same problem with my 400d. The problem occured in less than 1 yr of use.
It usually happens when I use the built-in flash. When i take a shot, the camera hardly focuses (AF) then error 99 is displayed. Tried using manual but the shutter wont release and the error comes out again. Pero if dili mag flash ok ra siya.
Ako na ni gipa service sa canon sa gallery pero after a month ni balik ra gihapon ang error. Ako pa to ibalik sa canon nsad, unsa jud kaha problema ani...

naka try pud ko ani before, ingon sila nga usually sa contact between lens and cam daw pinaka common. pero in the end, we found out nga ang ako diay memory card maoy guba and nothing to do with my cam or lens.
try daw bro, kana contacts sa cam nga side and sa lens pud kay limpyohi gamit eraser.
