power builder?

i was interested in a project my colleague told me . . . it concerns power builder and sql as its database . . . problem is . . . i know nothing about power builder . . . it was the first time i heard that term . . . and i was like huh?!?! what's that ?? can someone give me a brief introduction about power builder . . . is it like visual basic and if someone can, can you send me a link of a very very very good tutorial of power builder . . . cause i plan on taking that project . . . and also a tutorial of sql . . . i know nothing of sql except "SELECT * FROM **** WHERE *****=*****" hehehe so if someone can be nice enough to give me a link where i can study power builder and sql or a link of a downloadable e-book of both . . . then i would be very grateful . . . thankz in advance . . . by the way regarding sql is there a program that would be very compatible with sql? i mean a program like it would be best using that one if you use sql as database . . . just curious though . . .
