in the company there are only 2 rules..
rule # 1 YOUR BOSS IS ALWAYS RIGHT
rule # 2 WHEN YOUR BOSS IS WRONG, REFER TO RULE NUMBER 1

lol @waterboy0911, depende na sa sitwasyon and depende pud asa ka ga trabaho. If sa Pinas ka trabaho, your boss is always right pero if sa gawas, your boss can get fired for very viable reasons.
One big thing I learned from working in general is that, sometimes there are good days and sometimes there are not. If a bad day happens just think it will be over soon too, "this too shall pass". Especially kanang maglagot ka pag-ayo, something or someone at work has upset you soooo bad nga mura kang moexplode sa kalagot, it's always a good habit to just sleep on it before you really react. Sometimes ang reaction nato tungod sa kasuko kay bati ang kalabasan whereas kung imo lang ipalabay and just put in your mind that "it's just one of those bad days" ma okay ra eventually and makalimot na ka ana sunod simana. Ang importante, keep your job kay mao nay source nimo sa kwarta.

my first job ever gyud... worked in a small pub with B&B in the uk... it was difficult at first kay i'm not used with the hard work, foreign accents (samot pa gyud kay akong boss from new castle), and i'm not familiar with the drinks and the hand pump beers... well i love drinking cocktails so i know most of the spirits but i'm not familiar sa ila mga beers.
so i've learned to get along with foreign people with different accents, i'm more confident serving drinks coz i know what i'm doing na lalo na creating the right head for the beers. being the only pinay working in a pub in our lil town... i became the locals favorite.
unfortunately my good boss got to move to another pub coz new tenants took over. new boss were not were nice. tons of things happened and i decided to quit. it's a shame coz i was really enjoying my job.
best thing i've learned... i know what i want to do the most and i'm planning to enroll in a course. i may not finish with A grades from birmingham and cambridge universities like my hubby but i'm going to do my very best.
I doubt..coz.. my boss is multi national.. he is a pinoy but he worked from malaysia, singapore, us, and eastern Europe.. and he treat us Hell like malaysian, singaporian, american and eruopean...
Here are some tips
1. Do not say no for an answer
2. think ahead of your boss
3. Don't just approach your boss with a problem BUT ALSO SOLUTIONS for him to decide
4. Make your Boss look smart
mao na ang total reason why di ko niya ma fire.. coz I have all of these...
Hope you guys think like me... Don't wish your brain just as smart like me.. bwhahahhaha
1. Don't ever overrule your boss.. what ever happens.. it's your boss who can promote you or de-promote you..
Make sure you're doing well on your job.. like what I have said.. MAKE YOUR BOSS LOOK SMART..
WHY TITANIC SANK? IT'S BECAUSE THE CAPTAIN WAS OVERRULED BY HIS CREW!!
2. KEEP YOUR SELF HEALTHY. IT'S THE ONLY SOURCE WHY YOU CAN WORK EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY

Depende ni bai, kay sa US makapa fire ka ug boss nga sobraan or makakiha ka ug boss/owner kung sobraan na pud. Ex. if your boss causes a hostile work environment like maningka and sobraan ka terror, pwede nimo isumbong sa HR. As far as I know, where I work dili pwede mag abusar bisan boss ka. And as far as I know as long as you learn about your rights in the workplace, naa kay laban.
I strongly disagree that bosses are always right because they are not. You have to learn to play your game but at the same time, you don't want to cause a rift between you and your boss. That will make your everyday job environment hell, not good for your health. Waterboy your tips make sense and those are good tips. When we talk about manager/supervisor-employee relations complex kaayo depende sa country gyud and depende unsa kadaku ang company. I guess most large companies/institutions cautious kaayo sila when it comes to manager/supervisor-employee relations to avoid lawsuits. Lain lain man gyud ug personalities ang mga bosses as with lain lain ug personalities ang mga empleyado. If bosses need to understand their employees and know them well to be a great boss, a subordinate also must do the same.
equip yourself with everything you've got before going to your prospects and don't forget the alibis...hehehe
i've learned that no matter how good you are in what you do... or how qualified you are for a certain position.... nothing will happen to you unless you're good in politics![]()
