Every Call Center Agents' dream job would be to work in one of the big companies in Singapore. Others would fly to Singapore just to try their luck and apply continously even if it takes months until getting a job.
Now, here comes an agency in the name of TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES which is located in Mandaue, announcing that they are hiring call center agents for Singapore.
First step is to know if the agency is POEA licensed. Checked with POEA and was told that there is a job order for a hundred call center agents. If you check also online you will be able to see that the agency is Managed by Alexis Uy and is in GOOD STANDING and license expires on July 2010.
No doubt.
Second step is to pass the requirements/documents that are needed to prove that you are ready to go abroad like passport, nbi, TOR and others.
Third, after all the preparations, here comes the interview with the client (Singaporean). He will interview you for probably 5 minutes because there are hundreds of applicants waiting to be interviewed.
After the interview, you will be called to have your medical check up with their partner clinic (St. Peter-Paul in colon) You will be asked to pay P2,200. So, to make the long story short after you pass the medical exams, the agency will call you and will tell you that you are now ready for the next stage! How exciting! EPASS - yehey!
Employment Pass needed for foreigners who wants to work in singapore...
They will ask you to sign an acceptance letter that after you pay them $500 it will NOT be refunded since there is a risk with applications specially in Singapore. Ministry of Manpower - MOM may reject applications.
They will call you to remind you of the payment. They will even give you a deadline of the payment and will tell you that they will process the next applicants if you will not be able to pay $500 or P18000.
So, you will have to use your savings (if you have) or borrow from family or friends(tell them that you will be working in Singapore).
After paying, they will tell you that it will take 2 to 3 weeks to know if the application is approved or rejected.
So, everyday you will have to call them to check if there is a result of your application. They will tell you to callback.
After almost a month of sleepless nights and calling the agency, they will tell you that your application has been rejected and you will have to wait for 6 months to re apply. (WHAT)
$500 or P18000 lost in space!!! without even a reason why you were rejected or a sign from the agency that they will fight for you so that you can get a job in Singapore. How can I repay my friend's money
After the TRAGIC/TRAUMATIC moment, I did a little research on why I was rejected (note: my school was on MOM's list, my experience with call centers - excellent) .

So, It is not TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES who will process the EPASS but HUMSEARCH During application process they will not tell you that they were hired by an agency to get people here in Cebu.

So, why did it take a month for TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES to tell applicants that applications were rejected We have been calling the agency almost everyday to know the results of the application. Why did they hide the results to applicants.

So, Why did TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES inform us that they will re apply after 6 months Clearly they do not know the process. Or, they just dont want to appeal for the applicants because they already have our $500.

Because of this, POEA was asked to call on TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES if they could refund the $500 EPASS application fees since they are not helping the applicants.
There is a big difference with $500 and $10 application fee.
Where did the $490 go

TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHERE THE MONEY IS. instead they offered ONLY TO REFUND $100.

Well, If we are a wise applicant we will think it over regarding our application, kung tan-aw gani ta nga dili ta kapasar anang lugara dili ta mamugos! bay ! friendly advice lang ba unfair mana imong gibuhat nila wala pa gani ka prove nga nangilad sila? license agency na sila uy unya ang problema dili mana sa agency kung dili sa MOM nga na rejected ka? accept nalang ta ba kay ana man gyud nang mangaply risgo man gyud! kaila ko ana mga taw sa Times Square labina gyud na ang ilang Operations Manager mga maayo na sila naka timing lang gyud na sila nga bati ang Singapore ug processing unya ang tie-up agency wala poy klaro busa kung nasakitan ka aw parte mana sa atong pag apply busa kung naa kay kasuko ipa agi lang na sa processo kung maayo or dili.Ayaw lang pangangin ba kay kabalo baya na sila sa ilang gibuhat. Garbo mana na iral nato ba hehehehe

Dili man process singapore bro ang mangayu ug 500 dollars na application fee for pass. Nya why man if di kapasar sa MOM $100 raman ang i refund, Ayaw ko ug ingna almost $500 ang gasto nila pag pass lan ug application sa MOM online pa jud? Di ko mu ingun nangilad sila pero kana nga punto ang dapat i question sad na.

Di sad ko mutuo nga wala kabalo ang agency nga daghan or daku ug chance ma reject an Pass application. OK ra guro if mangayu ug placement fee if maka work jud ug sure, pero kana na sitwasyun di nsad na maayu.

Paying $500 to apply for an exam online for a call center job is ridiculous! Always be cautious and read fine prints before mo pirma on anything labi na if maghatag ka ug kwarta. Always ask the what ifs? What if dili kapasar? Mauli ba ang $500? Naa koy mabasa nga pinirmahan aning puntoha? If walay fine print nga ga specify ani, expect nalang magkalisud ka ug magkinaunsa.

Unsa man diay klase ang ilang exam if I may ask, curious lang. Sa akong field and I know this is out of topic but would like to mention it, IT certification exams can cost a lot of money, and they do not refund you if you fail, so magtuon gyud ka sigurado para makapasar ka and dili ka mag usik-usik sa imo kwarta. MCSE certification process costs $875, the exams alone. It does not include your expense for books and if you pay for training somewhere. But still.. if we think of it... these are certification exams so if you get it, you get it. If you did not study hard enough and failed, it's your loss.

But based on what I have read here, they have capitalized on people who needs work. Very bad. $10 as to $500? It is very sad to see this happening. Mapahimuslanon kaayo sa mga taw nga walay laing paninguha kundi makatrabaho sa gawas. I say! Go nail them! Dili malalim ang $500 noh?

Dili mana sa manaot cguro ang iya bro but he is just telling sa iyang experience sa iyang application. and sad to know nga ang kadaghanan mao pud ang na experience. More or less 100 applicants wa jud nakapasar? unya thank you ang kwarta na gibayad? Filipinos are not that dumb to notice na its a possible scam. Though kaila cguro nimo ang manager ana but do you have an idea if unsa jud ang ilang purpose? Akong kaila namaylo pa intawon ug 5/6 para ibayad unya wa jud intawon nahitabo.. Luooy sad..

really? tsk nindut kung kita ko dah. gipa media na gyud diay. klaro naman kaaung ilad ning ila. maski pangutan-on pa nimu ilang operation manager, inconsistent iyang mga tubag ug klaro kaau nga kulbaan kung dghan ka pangutana.
