They can block the transmission and send their own result.
Kinahanglan pa d.i mogamit ug balota?
Why not create their own result and transmit it?

exactly...! maghago pa sila himo ug balota nga kaya man diay nila magtransmit ug ilang data.

then ang sulti pa sa whistle blower nga ang ebidensya daw wala niya, naa sa iyang kauban nga nawala.

they are using 900 Mhz, 1800 Mhz sa ila data transmission.
mura ra ka'g nagtext ana. gamit ang GPRS.
walay fixed na backbone padulong sa ila data center.
sayon ra jud ibinu-ang anang ilang pama-agi.
they are not using the military band. which has signal scrumbling. lisod i-decode ug lawgaw.

    laing punto.

kung naay consabo sa sulod mismo sa data center. aw, pastilan, mouse ra ug keyboard gamiton jud.

Way back in college, in my electronics and communication class 101, encryption happens before transmission. Meaning data in the CF card contains nothing but raw files. Right?

The way I understand it. The PCOS system has four important parts: Processor-ROM-RAM-CFcard, Scanner (for the ballots), Transmitter (transmission of data), and encryption program (for security purposes).

The hard codes are not embedded in the CF card but in the ROM. In my opinion, days before the election, they have spotted that the embedded program in the ROM was defective thus they embedded a program in the CF card to mend it.

I question can you break into the system or alter the outcome of the results by rigging a malicious program in the CF cards?

    Mao nila ila security features:
    - encrypted transmitted data
( kailangan mo ug encyptor or access para mabasa)
    - unique machine id on transmission
(meaning mahibaw an asa gikan ang gi transmit)
    - Linux system
    (source code custom made)
    ....
    unsa pa?
    - Hard Copy of Ballots and random manual counting..
    - Parallel count

as what im saying.. posible ra ang cheating
If.. ila gi sabut ang mga programmer sa smartmatic.. or taga smartmatic ghihapon nag leak sa tanan..

So mas ok gihapon naa investigation..kay diko katuo sa votes nangawas..naa ko doubt.
    50/50..

Katong gipangsulti ni alias Robin, too good to be true ra kaayo to. And that's the problem with Philippine Media, sometimes i-bloat nila ang scope sa report or even highlight it bisan ug questionable ang credibility sa whistle blower.

From the way this guy talk, he doesn't know about technology.

I am an IT Professional with certifications such as CCNA & RHCE, with over 10 years experience in Linux Systems. And I know nga dili ingon ana kadali i-infiltrate ang security system atong last election. If I am not mistaken, their using 128BIT encryption. With enough time, breakable na, but at least you must have a snap shot of how the system runs to be able to start with.

However, I was just surprised nga kadako sa smartmatic, nakalusot pa jud tong sayop ang oras sa PCOS machine. Although it won't affect the poll's result, pero it would only show how less prepared they are.

    yes, a very yes.
if the cheat codes were done before transmission.

Meaning. It's impossible to breach the system from the outside? What other ways for one to break in without being noticed?

One vulnerable part in the PCOS machine is the CF card. The immediate replacement of the card days before the election raised doubts in my part.

This is something that I would like to observe. This may not be similar to a trojan horse virus that lurks in you USB drive. It could be complicated.
