CHINESE GOVERNMENT REJECTS VATICAN PROTESTS
May. 09 (CWNews.com) - A Chinese government official has rejected the Vatican's protest against the ordination of bishops without the Pope's consent, the Italian ANSA news agency reports. Liu Jianchao, a spokesman for the Chinese foreign ministry, said that while Beijing wants to improve relations with the Holy See, the Vatican cannot interfere with "internal" matters such as the appointment of Catholic bishops. He claimed: "Chinese bishops are elected democratically by Chinese Catholics and the government does not interfere in religious affairs." The Vatican had issued a stern protest against the ordination of two bishops, on April 30 and May 3, without authorization from the Holy See. The Vatican statement had charged that bishops and priests of the government-approved "official" Catholic Church had been subjected to a campaign of threats and intimidation, forcing them to participate in the ceremonies.
If I were a Chinese Catholic, I would not attend Mass presided by this Church approved bishops. They have no authority. One of the basic characteristic of Catholicism is obedience. What the Chinese government do is that they destroy the unity of the Church. They divide the mystical body of Christ.
These Chinese bishops have no divine and moral authority to practise the faith. Worse, they derive their authority from atheists. Their consecration is useless and futile. No graces will be received from by these bishops.

uh, dunno if this has come up here already, but you guys have to open your eyes, the VATICAN is a money and power making business... there are good and bad priests, but they all serve the VATICAN corporation.
