True for general but not applicable to PBs case. This is true with the case of Visual Studio and Eclipse. But for powerbuilder it's different. AFAIK, there's no other existing tool yet that compiles or interpret Powerscript except Powerbuilder. Powerscript is part of Powerbuilder and Powerbuilder will never be whatever it is now without powerscript. You cannot separate the two. Im sure you can separate C#/C++/C from VS or Eclipse. If you know what i mean.

Literal ra kaayo mo bro. I am sure you understand if someone said 'learn pb' that means learn programming in pb/powerscript and you even question if it's even a programming language.

And according to dodie, it's not real programming language, it's just click and drag and copy/paste thingy. So arrogant and the stupidiest comment I have seen in my 15 yrs reading internet posts.

so in other words, since the first release of PB, it had PowerScript already?

    i would imagine it evolved.

but still, if you reread wiki, there's is a title: Language Advantages and the content dived to powerscript right away and there's no other language.

    Identified as high-end language.
It also means it's not a core programming language, it only RIDES ON the existing platforms.
It doesn't even execute on other OS. lols!!!!!! And you still call it a programming language? hahaha tickle me. Other people would use wine or emulator just for the sake of running it on linux.
