Ngano kaha no?By the way daghan transactions nga wala na push through kay holiday man.Katong pag lubong ni Cardinal Sin nganong dili man holiday?By the way nindot gyud ang block voting religions ma puslan gyud sa mga politiko.

let's respect the decision to have Sept. 7 a non-working holiday. ang tawo ika usa ra mamatay, especially one that leads a Christian flock.

though INC may only be a minority religion, they are still Filipinos. Just because they don't belong to our dominant Catholic religion doesn't mean we should not acknowledge them too.

Just like the decision gud to have Sept 21 a holiday too because of Eid'l Fitr.

let's remember that though our country is predominantly Catholic, it doesn't mean our country is a Catholic country.

by the way, wala kunoy labot sa Sept. 7 holiday ang BPO's ug ang electronics industry. I read it yesterday sa newspaper.

May Bro. Manalo's sould rest in peace...

btw, there is a question here ngano daw wala mo declare ug holiday pgkamatay ni Cardinal Sin. He died June 21, 2005. well, i think lahi ang policies before compared to now. I also think that before a President declares one a holiday for a very important person, u have to ask the opinion first of the organization or family concerned. perhaps the church didn't want to declare it a holiday.

let's note that not making the death of a religious leader such as coming from a Catholic hierarchy into a non-working holiday does not diminish him into something not important.

if i'm not mistaken, Cardinal Sin was even accorded full military honors, including a 21-gun salute, at the cathedral steps. Normally, church people are not given (such) honors, but because of his role in history, Pres Gloria has ordered that he be given full military honors. That was the first time that such an honor has been given to a clergyman.

    ---000---

During the time of the founder Felix Manalo, gmay ra kau ang mga members sa INC. pero sa time na sa iyang anak nga c Erano, ngka daghan ang myembro. It ballooned to what we are seeing now today. I heard that Bro. Erano is good in financial, marketing and people skills.

kumbaga sa produkto pa na, maayo kayo mo promote ug mo market. kanang gitawag nila nga "tidings", 10% sa imong income kinanglan gyud daw ug mandatory ihatag sa INC, in contrast to the Catholics nga voluntary ra ug any amt will do. that's why dili nata mahibulong nga pwerteng dagkoa sa ilang church bldg nga itukod. I even think there is a very big one being under-construction in Lahug near UP.

I also heard that Christian cults nowadays are profitable business and is a very very influential force in politics. If i'm not mistaken, INC votes as a block. also, how do u think the likes of Velarde (El Shaddai), Villanueva (JIL), Quiboloy, Ecleo, etc became filthy rich huh? a religious leader's son even became a legislator, if i'm not mistaken. one even wanted now to run for President!

    sa my opinion lang gud,

mas ganahan pako sa INC kay sa roman catholic, (kay katholic sad ko) but naka sulod nako sa INC,, naka amigo nako INC.
I too am not comparing INC w/ the Catholic bro. I am not also implying who is the better Christian denomination. To each his own gyud.

I am also not here to defend the Catholic religion. you can criticize the RC all you want, but I only want to say that only shows you don't have a good grasp on why we do all those things. Really.

but mainly, what I am only saying is my observations on INC, ky mao man ni ang topic. dili ang RC.

if you haven't come across the word "tidings", then you don't know enough about INC at all. yes, funds sa INC dili gkan sa politico (but possibly pud) but it is more coming from the tidings (10% sa income sa INC member ihatag sa church). They believe this so because naa gani kno ni sa bibliya gyud gi specify...

and don't be offended by the term "Christian cult". it is not a negative term. you can even google that term.

anyways, back to the topic, let's respect the decision to make Sept. 7 a non-working holiday...
