wendellmb & 10-x, maybe depende ra sa ato setup sa vents. daghan man ko og ventilation. maybe sayop sad ko sa ako setup. glang ako try reverse ang fan unya. den ill compare the temp.

to 10-x: ako room dili aircon. maybe saka bugnaw to sa panahon. karon sa ako pagmonitor mo abot og 34 deg under light load, like internet, playing mp3 & word application. ako MOBO is MSI, naa man to sila software sa pagmonitor sa temp.fozzy logic ang name sa software. try adding rear vent kono. by the way, ako rear vent naka butang sa gawas sa casing, dili sa sulod kay f sa sulod nako butang mobanda ang hot air balik sa sulod, gamay man gud og holes ako rear fan slot sa casing. masmaayo kusog gyud ang pagblow sa hangin, intake man or exhaust.

37 i dont think thats fully loaded, nag run ra cguro na mp3 player or whatever. yes intel chips go hotter, especially the prescott series.

if you keep having heat problems and dont want to spend anymore, just open the sidepanel and direct a fan to it. just clean the system every once in a while if its already dirty.

My friend advised me not to do the open-case-electric fan thing kay mao ra kuno gihapon or mas init pa gani kuno kay madisrupt ang proper airflow sulod sa case. How true is this?

anyways, ako-a prescott 2.4 kay mudagan ug 40-50 ang temp, kung mag render ug video maabot intawn somewhere 60, makuyawan tawn ko.. hehehehe...

it's been 2 years that I've been doing the open-side-panel-electric fan-like-hell thing. guess what, It been 50C w/ load compared with relying only with the side fan. mines, a prescott LGA775(usually goes as high as 80C). it means it gets very hot inside compared to the 478-pin procs. I clean the insides once a month so it's kind of a hassle really.
