Meanwhile a new build from the Release Candidate branch, namely 7061, has been released to the testers, but theres no leak as of yet.

yes. im waiting for this build also. I hope it gets leaked as RC1 release is rumoured to be delayed until the end of May.

Windows 7 Build 7068 x86 and x64 bit Leaked!

The first screenshots of Windows 7 build 7068 have leaked, courtesy of an MSDN blogger.



On his MSDN blog, Shinobu Takahashi has posted screenshots of a very recent Windows 7 build. It is the first proof of a 706x build, but the changes aren't very apparent from the screenshot. The build string is "7068.winmain.090321-1322," which indicates that it was compiled less than a week ago: March 21, 2009, at 1:22 pm.

As you can see above and below, Microsoft has started tweaking the gadgets it will offer by default with Vista's successor. When I did my comparison of the beta and build 7057, I noticed that the gadgets had not changed, save for a new image for the Windows Media Center's.



With build 7068, we can clearly see that the CPU meter has gone from analog to digital, and that there is a new gadget for battery life. If you compare the Calendar gadget to the old one, you'll see a ton of changes. Of course, there are more changes than just tweaks to the gadgets, and we'll know more about those soon enough. Build 7068 was very close to leaking to the public, but I'm sure that this one, or a newer one, will leak before testers get the RC-escrow build next month.

ive tried the 32bit build 7000 version on my old amd athlon xp rig with 1ghz procie (formerly xp 2000+ ni xa naguba mudagan ra stable at 1GHz tungod cge OC LOLZ), 786mb of system Ram, 20GB HDD, Inno 3D 6600GT 128mb/128bit GDDR3 Vcard. and its running fine.. gaan jud xa mura ra ug xp compared to vista kay b4 ako gisulayan ug install vista kini nga system dili na xa stable when naka enable ang aero themes. but with windows 7 everything was working perfectly... unfortunately due to hardware limitation and HDD capacity the only software i can able to install is microsoft office 2007, Kaspersky Antivirus 2009 V8.0.0.506, Firefox V3.0.5 tsk.. tsk...tsk...tsk...

bottom line is.. kaya rana bro.

Windows 7 Build 7068 x64bit

after two days of use, i could say this build is somewhat stable like the build 7000 and 7048. it boots more faster and consumes less disk space.
