AHHHHHHHHHH AMD AND INTEL PRA WLAY GUBOT OG WLAY SAMOK.![]()

i go for intel, ol AMD processor r overclock! dats y kusog mo init
i go for AMD, AMD cpus need not be overclocked to kick the living daylights out of intel cpus...IMO
this is the real world situation:
Scene: Someone who wants to buy a new PC. (Newbie)
"uh..excuse me..miss.. naa moy...tag-pila inyo pentium 4?"
"ah..sir..naa mi package tag blah blah blah lang.."
n008 gets a 1.8Ghz P4, Jet Mobo, geforce2 64, generic 266 ram, crap CDdrive, and the most awesome case a newbie has ever seen..oh and a 15" CRT.
tsk tsk.. Pentium's been all about hype and advertising..
i go for AMD.. Best BANG 4 BUCK! unfortunately this is the case.. (on most shops anyway.. not ARCtech and INSOTEC)
"miss naa mo AMD 2500+ Barton? ingon ako amigo nindot daw ni.. nindot ba ni? asa kahay maayo sa pentium 4 miss?"
"ha? uhm..wala ra ba mi ana Bar-none twenty-five-pirated plus sir.. pero naa mi pentium 4 na package.. kana sir mao man na pirmi pilion sa amo sir.."
"ai..mahal man gud na miss.. "
"aw naa man pud mi celeron sir.. kusog gihapon ni.. kay Intel man .."
*TOING*
WTF?!
this is the line --------- cross it. i dare you
now tell me daw, kinsa may SALES diri who knows and understand what theyre selling? may it be Intel or AMD? alangan ba naman ug muduol ka ug MANAGER to ask for prices, u have to go to the Sales Incharge,right?... now tell me.. kinsay SALESPERSON diri who fully understands what theyre selling....!!!
hilig kaayo mo mudaut, if stores are selling INTEL stuffs... bantayan dayon... what if ul put up ur own STORE, be the manager, be the salesperson, and be the technician too aron bitaw if naay pangutana, makatabag mo!!!
sales diri sad sa Hong Kong some of them don't know what they're selling... that's i think computer shop should employ people who have computer knowledge. para wala daut daut....
OT: do you deny this then? cos from my experience from helping a lot of my relatives buy computers, that was always the case they presented to me.. that some PC shop suggested Celeron and old Jet+1.5~1.8Ghz P4.
[Don't go on getting personal, man..]
My point in post was that Intel's got the bag when it comes to newbie PC-ists (majority of which are looking for the best bang for the buck) but the facts are you get more power potential on AMD based rigs (hence the best bang for buck in any scenario). Unfortunately since AMD hasn't been spending too much on a wonder called advertising (plus a bad hype on temperature concerns), they've been unable to compete with Intel in the "newbie" market.
we (consumers) are not looking for experts. Hey it's not like we don't but from those shops y'know. You gotta admit though that at least a little understanding of what one is selling does help. [oh and a sidenote: people, careful with having your processors installed with branded HSF at a popular shop in SM.. saw them install one for a customer..almost emptied the whole bag of Tt thermal grease on the processor]now tell me daw, kinsa may SALES diri who knows and understand what theyre selling? may it be Intel or AMD? alangan ba naman ug muduol ka ug MANAGER to ask for prices, u have to go to the Sales Incharge,right?... now tell me.. kinsay SALESPERSON diri who fully understands what theyre selling....!!!
That is impractical. that's why you hire people who know pc stuff and train them. Wa man mi (i know i don't) nandaot anang mga PC shops with Intel kay maayo ra man gihapon na sila... pero just like my case pud, bai.. you know you wanna help relatives get the best bang for their hard-earned buck right? had they not asked me for my oppinion.. celeron na unta sila ron sa gasto na kahibaw ko nga pwede na unta to i-2400+?hilig kaayo mo mudaut, if stores are selling INTEL stuffs... bantayan dayon... what if ul put up ur own STORE, be the manager, be the salesperson, and be the technician too aron bitaw if naay pangutana, makatabag mo!!!

im going for AMD 2500+ Barton... naa bay AMD 3200+ Barton? i want something higher so that I can use it longer in the long run... IMO...
at leat Celeron is better than P4 1.8... heard that P4 below 2Ghz is sh!T... lol
Zero null.. you know that story you told above, you have a point... I agree that Intel is too much advertising and stuff... they have those cool Aliens advertisng for them while AMD had whathave you ever seen AMD on TV
i havent!
anyways, i plan to get AMD and get lots of fans, a good heatsink and a casing with lots-o-holes LOL![]()
its not just the bang for the buck thing... its also the resale value in case ur gona sell ur rig in a few months or so... out-of-the box u can already get a good, nice P4 set that could last you few years or so with minimal maintainance even on a cheap JET Motherboard... and when u decide to sell it, sayon ra mabaligya & dili basta lang mo differentiate ang price... i am an AMD user on my own, but i suggest P4 setups for my costumers(especially offices, schools & cafes) because of a lesser user intervention(is this the right word?)/maintainance. medyo mahal, but they get wat they paid for... a good, stable system with lesser things to worry about(heat, temps,or even exhaust &intake fans dying out coz u dont nid it much)... IMHO
