    Betta loves live foods(ngoyo2x, wati(tubifex))
    - but if busy2x ka, pellets will do.
    - Once a day pakaon is ok, twice is maayo.
    - then e fasting cla for one day in a week.
    - tubifex ky naa sa riverfront colon and naa na fud sa kilid sa manalili.
    (tubifex ky dugay matay)

    Water Change
-At least once in a week.
-Every other day is much recommended.
-Siphon their feces everyother day or everyday(recommended)
-not chlorinated( if MCWD, buy dechlorinator)
-Put some TALISAY LEAVES( it lowers the PH level, natural environment nla)
-Add a pinch of rock salt(aquarium salt) not table salt.
(Rock salt as well as Talisay leaves prevent fungis and bacterias)

    Don'ts

    - Don't overfeed them. sakto lng.
    - Don't put male bettas together. They'll bite each other. Female ok ra.
    - Don't put the Betta directly in the tank with MCWD(chlorinated) water. treat it first with dechlorinator
    - Don't put aerators in the tank, they become stress.

    What you will need:

-A Betta tank( 4x6x8 )show type tank ni xa. But the bigger the better. We have Betta tanks pud, contact lng c Ryan.
    -betta fud. hehe
-no aerators , filters coz bettas are labryinth fishes(thus makes it a low maintenance fish)
-dedication and enthusiasm lng jd. Mka relieve mangd sa stress sd ne cla.

    Location:

Ryan(catcher) - naay karatula maste cutter ila blay sa Inayawan
Josh(I am the boss) - Fatima Homes sa Inayawan(unahan ila RYan, walking dstance ra)
    Roy(the GooD$) - sunrise village...Woo Compound
Jesse Lim (Dyesmil) - naa dpt Uptown, duol Shell station.

Advantages of Bettas from other ornamental fishes:

    1. Low maintenance.
    2. Cheap feeds (Free in fact in some places; Nature's gift on Betta keepers).
    3. No needed tank accesories!
    4. VERY hardy, 'nuff said!
    5. Earliest potential can be seen at 3 months (doen't take much to bring out the best in them, only needs high protein live foods, some Talisay Leaves and constant water changes).
    6. Breedable at 3 months.
    7. Offsprings can number from 300 to a thousand (different color variations and patterns may come out of the parent's colors on the offsprings).
    8. Can be breed again in 2 weeks time.
    9. Can be breed in anything that holds water (tubs, pots, tupperwares).
    10. Comes in UNLIMITED color-fin type combinatons (comes in dazzling array of colors and combinations; fins types such as the Halfmoon, Super Delta, Delta, Crowntail (single, double, balok, cross rays), Halfmoon Plakat, Doubletail, Spadetail, Rose tail, Comb tail, Veil tail).
    11. Small sized poop!
    12. Grows only up to 3 inches (Giants may grow to more than 5 inches).
    13. Can be maintained in 2.5 gallon display tanks (minimum of a gallon. Please do not keep them in jars and cups).
    14. Non messy and fussy eaters.
    15. Many forums and websites dedicated to Bettas on the internet.
    16. Just so darn INTERESTING and FASCINATING to watch while breeding and their spawning habits!
    17. Takes your breath away when flaring!
    18. Highly s e xually dysmorphic (easy to sort out the gender).
    19. Naturally inquisitive and interesting fishes.
    20. Prize money to be won on Betta shows (enthusiasts from other countries would even send in their entries).
    21. There are already existing established Betta organizations here in the country recognized by the International Betta Congrees (IBC).
    22. Two types: Fighter and show type.
    23. Doesn't look monstrous, freakish, pathetic and grotesquely artificial.
    24. Can survive outdoors and sudden changes on weather conditions.
    25. Can survive without feeding for up to 16 days while on shipment (as what a friend of mine has testified).
    26. Local Bettas are sold for low prices for beginners.
    27. Can live up to 2 years if well taken care of.
    28. New strains are STILL being developed such as Giants, Dragons, Snake faces to keep the hobbyists interested.
    29. Highly addictive and well worth the time and effort. I guarantee yah'... Heck, the whole country of Thailand is mad about them!
    30. GORGEOUS, MAGNIFIQUE, BEAUTIFUL Fishes!!!

From their scientific name of Betta Splendens meaning "Splendid Warriors"... They are living jewels. Betta breeders are artists and their Bettas are their living masterpieces...

    By The Good$!!!

    Betta Philosophy

Bettas truly are a perfect example of Beauty and the Beast! They have overwhelming physical beauty and they do behave as savage beasts. Male to male interaction results in brutal conflict that ends only when one is so badly beaten that he must totally submit. Male to female encounters often begin as bloody dominations and end in one of the most exquisite spawning rituals you will ever see. Bettas are a template of paradox.
For me the barbarous behavior is just a minor distraction in the appreciation of the beauty that is Betta splendens. I believe that Bettas are not to be used in fighting contests. I believe that Bettas are not to be abused by us - as in the weeks they spend without food in two ounces of water in plastic cups on retail shelves until they die. Sometimes I wonder who is the most cruel, the Betta or Man. I believe that Bettas are to be nourished and cherished for the exhilaration and joy they provide us. Such an animal deserves the best we can give - the best that is in Man.
Bettas have already shown us many awesome marvels. My hope is that with diligent care they will reveal even more spectacular aspects to those of us who love them.
