I have read in one forum re: BF2 special forces that if your game crashes, you have to modify your refresh rate.
Another way is to set your AGP to 4x with fast write off (in case you have an AGP VC)
Personally I still havent tried those but I want to get your opinion on this.

i installed BF2: Special forces but when i start the game it goes to a blank screen and crashe to desktop.
I never had this problem before with the original BF2.
I updated my driver (ATI radeon 9550 ultra) but still naa problem.
Anybody have a clue .
By the way, my system meets the requirements sa Battlefield 2. (i was able to play the original bf2 without any problems)
After installing the expansion pack (BF2:Special forces) even the original BF2 crashes.
Ive read a lots of comments on different forums na buggy daw ni cya na expansion set.

Any solutions!!!

I had a similar problem with the demo of bf2. When I first installed the demo, it crashes to the desktop. I have fixed it by fixing/setting my refresh rate permanently on a certain resolution (In my case, I play using 1280x1024 and set Refersh Rte to 75). However, if I'm not mistaken, this problem was resolved in the full version of bf2. As of now, I don't have any problems with the original bf2 and the special forces expansion. ^_^

i'd buy an orig... it's quite cheap compared to other shitty games like HL2

I don't think HL2 is shitty! lol. I believe that BF2 has always been buggy and laggy. ^_^

OT: Hl2 is shitty, not because of the game itself but because of STEAM. Everyone who has Steam installed (im sad to say i'm one of them) is truly kissing valves rear End!

And BF too might have been buggy, but thats over, at least for me, since the last patch and it's only laggy because there are only a few good servers for pldt dsl subs.

if pldt subs play on pldt's servers.. then they would really enjoy because of very low pings.. unfortunately gamay nalang kaayo tig dula sa ila servers kay kasagaran adto na dula sa mga ranked servers.. i still play unranked servers kung kuyog mga barkada .. nice man gyud mag dula kung naay teamwork
