    Default SIGN LANGUAGE anyone?

I'm not sure if this belongs here, but since all the other language topics are posted here, diri na lang pod ko

Anyway, I just wanted to ask if you know what kind of Sign language is used by the deaf and mute here in the Philippines. Is it American Sign Language (ASL) or is there another set of Sign language used particularly by Filipinos?
I wanted to learn man gud unta, and teach somebody (who's half deaf, bata pa). Can you please tell me, and do you know any websites that offer complete tutorials for sign language?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Try to contact my friend... 09176213367. Look for Kaye.

She just graduated from a Sign Language class and will be doing her practicum in the Netherlands next month. Better text her before then and ask her where she studied for it.

    Best of luck!

we have our own filipino sign language (FSL). just like other languages or dialects, there are variations. FSL of cebuanos may have slight variations from the FSL of tagalogs and ilonggos.

websites that offer tutorials can aid you if you want to learn but the best and most effective way of learning the sign language is by interacting with the deaf. it requires a lot of patience but the experience is fun and worthwhile.
