right on and we can't curl up with a computer hahahaha I was just playing with the thought of reading Albert Camus on a mac book.

Maayo pa ka na'ay mac book at your disposal. :mrgreen: Ako gani I could'nt imagine myself even curling up to several kilos of computer equipment while reading ebooks I have to be in a sitting posture to read, which is kinda lame if taas kaayo na ebook. My sister always hogs her LifeDrive so no other way for me to read ebooks but through the P.C.

@aya_diwata: Yes indeed there is something about the smell of a book. I find it hard to explain though, basta all I know is its one of the most gratifying things for me to read something that has a smell other than that of computer equipment. I'm not making any sense at all am I? LOLZ!!!

hey i can relate to all your posts about the smell of books. i think it adds that special ambiance to reading, which you can't get with ebooks. i love the smell of books, and i love staying at libraries and bookstores because of it.

now if only someone can invent paper that didn't come from trees...

I think that books will not go out of style, even with the advent of ebooks, etc... just as paintings never went out of style even with the advent of digital photography... they enhance the enjoyment of art in whatever form...
personally, I still like flopping down on my beach chair with a good paperback... :mrgreen:

I hope books don't disappear in the internet age... Staring at the screen is so different and boring compared to reading a book on the table or lying in your bed or snuggling with someone. XD

Unless you're talking about Visual Novels like Tsukihime or FSN.
