Misconduct by university professor - what to do about it?

I was under a professor who had more absences than some of the students, didn't give a single 'lecture' (my definition of a lecture being a session where the professor teaches and students listen) - all our learning was from powerpoint presentations created and conducted by other classmates... and the professor has been doing this for years, but nothing has been done about it.

What must I do if I want justice to be served?

basta daghan na affected tungod aning maistroha... you can form a coalition with other students affected and address the problem with full force to the authorities

If anybody from your school won't do any actions, you can report it to CHED. You can write a formal complaint about your concerns.

Thanks for your suggestions... well, as far as forming a coalition with other students is concerned... that might be out of the question because although this has been happening for several years (even seniors talk about how bad the professor is), nobody is brave enough to actually do anything. Students only make 'malibak' and laugh it off. I've talked to several students but nodody seems to want to actually do anything about this.

We have some incredible professors in our department, people I really respect and admire, but I'm really disappointed with this person.

I plan to meet with the chairman of our department this week and find out whether they still have plans to take any action.

haaayy reminds me of my school and this 1 teacher..cge lang reporting mga students..
if there's an exam he wouldn't prepare any.. just open his book and ask random questions

may i ask what college/university it is?

what kind of setting is it... is there a certain time frame as to how long should the students stay in the classroom? or pwede lang mu gawas mo bisag kanus-a?

i know in the US, professors are required to conduct LECTURES and finish it within a certain time frame that they are scheduled. it's one of those requirements that needs to be fulfilled in order to be ACCREDITED by the Dept. of Education.

i don't know if it works the same way in Pinas.
