mas prefer kos seagate. kai u know what? dili pwede ma slave ang WD sa lain na HDD. like sa amua. when i tried to borrow WD hd kai mo copy kog movies og music. but dili xa ma detect sa akong computer. i wonder why. Mao d ay kai mag pa master jud d ay ang WD. graveh. that one is a real issue jud. and kung performance? mas labaw ang seagate. i tried a researcdh on that. pinaka accurate ang seagate
The hard disk itself is decent. Cache really doesn't matter unless milliseconds matter to you.
You can slave a WD to any brand of hard disk.

I have multiple WD HDs as well as Seagate, Maxtor, and Samsung. None of WDs are master. Sounds like a user error and not WD's fault.
oh yeah? have u tried a Western Digital Slaved by a Seagate? how bout try this one. find an 80Gb Seagate (mastered on primary slot) then 80Gb Western Digital (Slaved on primary slot.) tell me what happens
Gee, look at this, Seagate master with a WD slave on one of my servers. My apologies for not comparing puny 80GB HDs. I haven't had a hard drive that small since the decade started. Making a generalization about WD when you've only had experience on a limited number of models is pretty bad observation though.
