Some 200 houses will be turned over to families in Bogo City in Cebu province who were displaced by super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) last year.
The turnover of the 200 houses in Bogo will be on Nov. 9, a day after the anniversary, GMA Cebu's Gregy Magdadaro reported Tuesday.
Cebu was among the areas hit hard by Yolanda, which left more than 6,000 dead in its wake after it pounded the Visayas last year.
Provincial officials have lined up activities to mark the occasions, starting Nov. 6 with a photo exhibit in Bogo showing the destruction from Yolanda as well as the bayanihan spirit shown by Cebuanos.
On Nov. 7, a Mass will be held in Bogo, led by Cebu Archbishop and former Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines president Jose Palma.
On Nov. 8, Governor Hilario Davide III will visit the relocation site at
Bantayan Island, one of the areas where Yolanda made landfall.
