any religion that becomes organized and resembles that of an industry is no longer a religion but is rather a business. It no longer pursues its own theological interests but now focuses on business and politics with theology as a front.

i believe in God but not religion... ilaha ra nang gi himo ug tanga ang mga tawo... i dont go to mass but it doesnt mean i am a bad person... just that i dont want to listen to false teachings

religion ALWAYS involve rituals.... now im wondering why no-religions here submits themselves to religious rituals like baptism, wedding and funeral wether done by "pastors", priests or anybody invoking the name of God.
If faith is all that it takes, then why do they have to submit themselves to these religious activities?
Culture/Tradition or for formality sake? Mao may naandan mao pud ang gibuhat sa kasagaran.
We didn't choose to be baptized in the first place.
Wedding can be presided by an authorized person (judge/mayor) not necessarily a priest or pastor.
Funeral? Culture and tradition still.ehehehe
IMHO

if this is the best reasoning that the "non-religious" can offer, while flirting with religious activities and practices, then that makes them hypocrites.
If faith is enough, AVOID engaging in religious activities at all cost.
No baptisms, no blessings by priests or pastors, no Christmas, no Sinulog, no fiesta, no weddings in church officiated by priests or pastors, no attendance in religious ceremonies like weddings, christenings, funerals ; and lastly, no religious funeral service when you die.
Now, this is definitely how North Korea looks like.
LEADERS says "follow the commandments, read & obey the bible...etc."... but of all these "Culture", "Tradition" etc..whatever you call it are all interpretation of the LEADERS.
Isn't it contradicting where they know God nor Jesus didn't ask/collect for so called "payments" for baptizing a baby, "payments" for ninong/ninang (each has to be paid), Funeral "payment" etc..
I'm enclosing the word "payment" kay naa ng comment dre nga for some reason this is for church expenses but please....
(Fact) Daghan mn gud big known donors, or even anonymous donors pra ma sustained ang expenses sa church but asking payments for me is ridiculous. Why building a church if they can't provide free services for at least sa mga wla jud tawon kwarta..
Makes sense, sir but I don't think it makes "me" hypocrite to attend to any religious ceremonies especially if it's for someone I know or if I am being forced to go with by someone, ang uban siguro. I respect what my religion is teaching/preaching kay neutral raman ko ana. I am never against of anything they practice or tell people to do so.
What I don't like lang is the politics inside the religion like what the TS said and this person below.
