ive used ncomputing personally in the office environment. 1-i3 CPU shared over 2 users. pwede pa gani 3 users pero hinay na kaayo.
like what others suggested, main unit doing the heavy stuff, and ncomputing unit doing easy stuff.

    advantage over 2 computers
    1) power consumption sa 1 CPU + ncomputing VS 2 CPUS's (u still need a monitor and keyboard etc.)
    2) less space needed
    3) only one copy of OS vs 2 copies
    4) Direct purchase cost. 1 cpu +ncomputing vs cost of 2 cpus's.

    disadvantage over 2 computers
    1) kung maguba, duha dili maka gamit.
    2) user #2 cannot use if main unit is OFF (duh)
    3) only main unit can take advantage of discrete GPU (i stand corrected kay wala mi dedicated GPU diri opis)

now if you gonna go latest tech, go ahead and build your gaming rig and just add on the ncomputing. i suggest a bit of additional RAM, maybe 8GB kung gaming ang usage sa usa. our office uses only 2GB RAM, on Win7 starter for clerical works shared by 2 users.

depending on how powerful your main PC is, you can even stretch it to 3 or even 4 users, just add ram kung mag dungan og gamit. suggest lang ko kung abot ka og 4 users, get an i7 nalang.

bottom line is you save on power and PC costs. monitors sad to say you have to buy for each user.....
